We stayed at La Casa Grande with the new son my sister was adopting. The staff takes good care of adopting families, providing bottled water, walkers, strollers, high chairs for families to use. This was our 3rd visit to La Casa Grande. We were pleasantly surprised with the new updates since our 2 visits in 2005. They have painted, cleaned and freshened the entrie hotel up. We were in guatemala city visiting with the baby we are in the process of adopting. The owners were lovely and supportive and very flexible. The actual hotel is simple, and nice. Hard floors meant no old carpet. They were repainting everything in the hotel, which will be nice, but for our visit, the smell was very difficult to handle.... more
