Stayed here twice and really enjoyed both nights. Owners are kind and will do anything to make your trip easier. They seem to get a kick out of just letting you chill out and feel relaxed in Guate - quite a feat !. The food was beyond what i was expecting - i'll be honest in Guate i was not... more

GuateFriends has cheerful rooms with comfy beds and pleanty of hot water. The owners, Joe and Ana go out of thier way to see that you have everything you need. They are very knowledgable about things to do and see in Guatemala and will help you to get where you want to go. They serve breakfast and dinner every day... more

The owners are very hospitable. They picked me up from the airport at 1:00am when my flight was delayed from L.A. I stayed 2 nights and they gave me a lot of really great information about traveling throughout Guatemala. The food is excellent (highly recommended). I will be staying here on the way back in about 1 month. more

The only thing I can say about Guatefriends is "feeling like home"We have been there at the beginning of our trip for 2 days and also for our last night, it was perfect. The food is amazing and the owners do everything to make you feel like being in a family. I really recommend this place to everyone who stays... more

I travel throughout the Caribbean islands, southern Mexico and Central America where I try to combine business with pleasure. I always look forward to my stays in Guatemala because I know I will enjoy my experience at Guatefriends. The owners, Ana and Joe, include their guests in an extended family atmosphere that engenders vigorous conversation around the huge common table... more

I stayed with Ana and Joe at GuateFreinds for 2 nights. Ana picked me up from the Airport free of charge. The rooms are very clean, tidy with comfy beds. This place is more of a B & B than a hostel. The food is fantastic, Joe makes a mean porridge. My first day, they drove me round to take... more

I stayed here on route to Flores. I arrived & literally went straight to bed. The owner did say there was free internet but I didnt use it. I slept in a roon with 2 other girls. The bathroom was down the hall. I think its best as a overnight hotel on route to other destinations. Was about 5mins from... more

I stayed on my first and last nights in Guatemala. Airport pickup and dropoff was convenient. Joe and Ana are helpful with any requests. The room was comfortable, and the water was hot! I don't know that I'd go for an extended stay here, but certainly it's very convenient for those first and last nights of your trip. more

My sisters and I stayed at Guatefriends for several days during our trip into Guatemala. The rooms were clean; fresh linen; sparkling bathrooms; and best of all; the best tasting organic coffee in town. The price was reasonable and the food was awesome! We rented a cell phone which we used during our trip. The hosts were very helpful with... more
