This is not the first time that my husband and I have stayed at this hotel - and I am happy to report that it continues to be one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had! We chose to revisit the property on August 1st - for a little "mental health getaway"... The staff is professional, helpful and... More

Beautiful old hotel with modern amenities. We love the lobby and it's old wood furnishings and trim....it's like something straight our of a movie. We will always come back to the Windsor because of it's old charm, nice rooms, and proximity to local attractions like the Andersonville Civil war town & POW museum and Providence Canyon.

Traveling the backroads of America we happened to find ourselves in the vicinity of Andersonville and Plains, Georgia. What a surprise to find the beautiful Windsor Hotel to stay at. It is a magnificent 19th Century Hotel that was delightful. We enjoyed cocktails on the veranda overlooking the main street of Americus. We were a bit disappointed that we didn't... More

I stayed here while visiting the National Prisoner of War site at Andersonville which is about 10 miles north. It's located in downtown Americus. On my one night stay, it was Sunday, and nearly everything in town is closed. I mead dead like a ghost town. The hotel restaurant and bar were closed. Too bad as they have a nice... More

Who would think that you would find a classic Brick Victorian Hotel in Americus, GA?!? Well, the Windsor is not quite as grand as it once was, but the owners have done their best to renovate the ol' gal over time and it is more than adequate. The rooms all have a modified Victorian flair in their decorating to go... More

This hotel brings you back to the last century (not to say XIXe century). It is not as modern as other Best Western hotels but the charm is elsewhere than modernity. The place is really quiet on a Sunday evening, maybe too quiet as the restaurant and bar are closed which was a disappointment as we had to find dinner... More

Despite many issues with my reservation I did enjoy my stay in the gorgeous Windsor hotel. I had to move my room to a smaller one but it was still well accomodated. The charm of the small town south will make you want to stay.

Visited this old 110 year old historic hotel while passing through in the spring. They were having a Mystery Dinner Theater and it looked like it would be a lot of fun to do sometime. The place is very nice, has all you need without having to leave the hotel: an upstairs pub for drinks and food, and great upstairs... More

I stayed here for a business meeting in June and had a good stay. The hotel has maintained it antique charm quite well. As with most old building it does not have some of the modern amenities that you find in newer hotels, such as ample supply of plug-ins. Also the floor slanted at different angles in different parts of... More
