Having been a travel agent for many years, this has to be one of the best, if not THE best trip that I have ever taken. From the flight on the 6 seater airplane from Belize City to Punta Gorda thru the following week of total relaxation and adventure, we were not disappointed in a single thing! The accomodations in... more

As a solo traveler, I felt that I was staying with friends--relaxed, welcoming, fun, safe yet stimulating--with an interesting and eclectic mix of guests and staff. Owners Chris and Jeff have created a real gem here! The accommodations couldn't be beat--cabanas overlooking the river, night music (howler monkeys, tropical birds and who knows what else!), clean, private and secure. And... more

This was my most awesomest trip I ever took. It is a most do!! I traveled with my best friend and we did it all. If they offered an activity we did it. We are older women and not in the best physical shape, but we did it all. Everyday was better then the next. We met the most amazing... more

This was my third visit to the Cotton Tree and it just keeps getting better. The communal atmosphere, not only with fellow guests, but locals who work there, makes this a unique experience. Chris and the rest of the staff work to keep the locals involved with the Cotton Tree and it shows. The food is delicious- very creative with... more

Cotton Tree Lodge was perfect. It is located in the middle of the Jungle and next to the Moho river. The river is a extremely comfortable temperature, not too hot or cold. There is a rope swing leading into the water which is lots of fun. The river is perfect for swims before and after your daily activities. You also... more

What an amazing place Belize is! And Cotton Tree Lodge made the experience even better by directing us to the best spots for birdwatching, cave-exploring, snorkeling, kayaking and swimming. The trip can be as relaxing (and what a place to relax!) or as tour-packed as you want. As an "eco-sensitive" lodge, Cotton Tree is sensitive to both the environment and... more

My husband and I spent Valentine's Day 2009 at Cotton Tree Lodge, as part of Cotton Tree's Chocolate Week. It was an unforgettable Valentine's day, perfect from waking up to the sound of rain on our cabana, to reminiscing by the campfire to the sound of nearby howler monkeys at midnight. Our morning began with picking cacao pods and planting... more

My family was a bit worried about "eco-resort" being shorthand for second-rate rooms and a stripped-down experience. Cotton Tree is the opposite -- it's a near-ideal place with some of the best service I have experienced at a resort. It manages to be comfortable and upscale (truly hot water and private bathrooms in clean cabanas, great food, even internet access... more

My partner and I spent 4 nights/5 days at the resort in March 2009. The service is top notch. They plan your airflight for you and pick you up at the airport, even when we ended up coming in on an earlier domestic flight. The food is very good and they had no problem accommodating our vegetarian requests. There are... more
