i thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Cotton Tree Lodge. The cabanas were comfortable, with wonderful hammocks on our porch, which made for many a relaxing afternoon. The staff was helpful, cheerful, and personable. There was plenty to do around the Lodge - kayaks, horseback riding, plant walks, swimming, a ropeswing(!) - and on top of those, the organized tours offered... more

If you are going to Southern Belise, you gotta stay here for at least a few nights. Make it a week if you can. There is lots to do, and the place is heavenly and totally secluded, in a really really good way. more

Our stay at the Cotton Tree Lodge in July was fantastic. We usually travel to cities and so we were curious as to whether there would be enough to do during our stay at the lodge, but it far exceeded our expectations. Everyone on the staff was so kind, and the excursions every day were great. We really enjoyed visiting... more

The most amazing place I have EVER stayed. After travelling a fair bit of the world I can say that Cotton Tree Lodge is the most impressive. Beautiful grounds set IN the Toledo jungle. The site is right on the Moho river - our balcony overlooked it. Great swimming and kayaking. Howler monkeys in the distance, hummingbirds outside the window,... more

Our entire experience with Cotton Tree was wonderful--from the time we made reservations to the time we got back home and they followed up with us about our stay. The best thing was that we actually relaxed our minds and bodies while on vacation while being able to enjoy all the tours we had set out to do. First I... more

We had an amazing stay here. The location is a bit hard to get to, but when we did we were glad for it because we were completely away from it all, nestled in the jungle. The cabanas are exquisitely built, and are high on stilts, making you feel like you're sleeping in a treehouse. The sounds of the jungle... more

Having been a travel agent for many years, this has to be one of the best, if not THE best trip that I have ever taken. From the flight on the 6 seater airplane from Belize City to Punta Gorda thru the following week of total relaxation and adventure, we were not disappointed in a single thing! The accomodations in... more

As a solo traveler, I felt that I was staying with friends--relaxed, welcoming, fun, safe yet stimulating--with an interesting and eclectic mix of guests and staff. Owners Chris and Jeff have created a real gem here! The accommodations couldn't be beat--cabanas overlooking the river, night music (howler monkeys, tropical birds and who knows what else!), clean, private and secure. And... more
