My wife and I wanted to spend some time in the less visited southern part of Belize, and chose to stay at Tranquility Lodge. We were glad we did! The property is gorgeous and Lee took great care of us during our stay. We chose one of the four rooms in the main building instead of a bungalow to get... More

Just a couple of notes for those who expect more- A great vacation spot, friendly owners, willing to help you out in finding things to do- I agree wholeheartedly with the other reviewers. The lodge was great, the owners fantastic. But everything costs more and some things are just not available. Just some notes- US Dollars are more readily accepted... More

This is a great place to vacation ESPECIALLY if (a) you have your own transportation, (b) you don't mind arranging for daily taxis to/from the lodge, or (c) you don't plan to go anywhere else. The lodge is about 7-8 miles from PG. The good of that is that you don't get city noise interfering with the jungle sounds (including... More

My wife and I stayed here in April 2014. This was the first time we stayed in Punta Gorda. We stayed at the lodge two nights. We are spoiled so we booked a lodge room. We can't sleep without AC. The lodge room #1 was great. A king size bed, a double bed, and 2 bunk beds. One bed to... More

Tranquility lodge is one of Belize's best kept secrets. Hidden away in the jungle, it really lives up to its name. One of my favourite parts of this lodge were the jungle noises, from howler monkeys, crickets, frogs, and all kinds of birds. The swimming hole is absolutely stunning and wonderful to cool off in. The owners are so friendly... More

We just got back from this lodge and it was great! The owners are great! Don't expect North American standards as far as the bathroom and things go but this place is a 5 star for the beauty/service/location! Loved it! The swimming hole is magazine worthy. Up in the lodge they have a pool table and shuffle board which the... More

We stayed in a lodge room for two nights. It was clean and comfortable. Being in the rain forest was fun, and the birds on the property were amazing. We were hungry when we arrived, and host Lee with niece, Danielle quickly served us a delicious dinner. Made us feel at home. We played pool and shuffleboard. (NOTE: You must... More

We loved everty minut of it. The surrounding is beautyful, and yes, tranquil. The people are very helpful, and Suzanne is a very good cook. When we were there, her husband Lee was in the hospital. But Suzanne did a marvelous job, with the help of neighbour Larry. We had two tours with tourguide Juan, and that was both ejucational... More

My husband and I stayed @ Tranquility Lodge for 2 nights and we just loved it. We chose the cabanas for a "true" jungle experience. Our hosts were just the nicest persons we've met and had very good advices (tours, restaurants and bars). I especially recommend to visit the "swim hole" where howler monkeys come at night ! Best natural... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Tranquility Lodge for the last 2 nights of our 2 week Belizean trip. In hindsight, I wish we had planned for more time here- it was the best part of our holiday by far. We stayed in one of the casitas, so can only speak for that room, but it was truly spectacular. The... More
