Arrangements were made by Audley Travel and their local agent Via Ventures for us to be collected and driven to Chan Chich from Lamanai. It was an interesting 2 - 3 hour journey passing through some of the Mennonite villages. We reached the edge of the Gallon Jug estate then continued several miles to the Lodge. On arrival we were... We spent 4 days at Chan Chich in the interior jungle of Belize on an all inclusive package with 3 meals a day and all the Belikan beer we could drink. Short plane ride from Belize airport on charter flight arranged by Chan Chich. The property is situated on an old Mayan Plaza with thatched roofed comfortable cabanas, private bird... More

We spent three nights at this very comfortable lodge. The food was good, the staff efficient & friendly. The setting is perfect, in the main plaza of an old Mayan unexcavated site. It is surrounded by thick jungle & there are sometimes sightings of Jaguars & pumas. The birdlife is prolific & there are monkeys & other creatures all around.... More

Fabulous especially if birder but great get away anyway. This is best reached by private plan from Belize city. If you fly ask pilot to circle Lamanai Maya temple. some drive but a bit far. Set among mounds of covered Maya ruins Lodge rooms fabulous with wonderful bathrooms, spacious room and veranda. Beds great. Service great. food limited but excellent.... More

A really attractive lodge in the middle of the jungle, beautifully kept grounds full of birds. The room was very nice, huge bathroom as others have mentioned ,with a very good shower. Comfortable large bed with efficient fans in both bedroom and bathroom. The guides here are excellent,we had two trips out with Raoul. The food was average, and occasionally served on... More

Are you kidding? After a fifty mile ride on lousy roads, some paved, mostly dirt, with hardly ever seeing another vehicle, my wife and I arrived at this bit of luxury in the jungle! Each "room" is a separate bungalow. We chose the "deluxe" accommodations, with its huge bathroom....Two showers, two sinks, all kinds of surfaces to place one's toiletries,... More

This is our 4th time to Chan Chich-why because it is gorgeous, the folks working there are the nicest anywhere and the guides are superb for birding. The food was fabulous-I had the named salad with Cilantro dressing 3 nights in a row and they were kind enough to provide me with the potato soup on the morning we were... More

This was the first tropical lodge we had stayed at some 18 years ago way before Tripadvisor had been invented. We wanted to go back to enjoy it once again and that is a risky thing to do. The lodge has been appropriately updated but still fantastic. The first part of the magic about Chan Chich is the getting there... More

My family and I ( three children under 10) visited Chan Chich at the end of December for 4 days. The first thing i have to say is that the location alone of this lodge deserves 5 stars. Deep in private rainforest set in a Mayan ruin, it couldn't be more spectacular. Yet in the middle of the jungle all... More
