If you can, take the boat ride to the Lodge. This was our first stop in Belize and what a way to arrive! Great place to stay, friendly and relaxing and you are instantly surrounded with wildlife. The inclusive trips are well worthwhile with very interesting and knowledgeable guides who take the trouble to find out your interests and help... more

We spent four days at Lamanai and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is over an hour boat ride, which was enjoyable as our guide pointed out wildlife along the way. The grounds are very well kept, like a lush tropical garden. They have a nice dock where we enjoyed the breeze off the lagoon while we read or just relaxed,... more

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Lamanai Outpost Lodge. A perfect setting to enjoy the Mayan ruins, and learn a lot about the local culture! We were met at the airport immediately after landing, driven to the New River where Mauricio met us and took us by boat to Lamanai. Our room was immaculately clean and comfortable,... more

We spent 4 days in Lamani and it was the most enjoyable leg of our travel around the region. Overall service and friendliness of the staff was excellent which was complimented by very impressive knowledge of the guides who left us spellbound with their quality and in depth knowledge on all topics. Location was breath taking over looking the lagoon... more

We spent 3 nights here as part of our driving holiday in Belize and it was way too long! Unfortunately, we had pre-booked so we were stuck. One or 2 nights would have been more than enough. The reason for choosing this resort was its proximity to the Lamanai Mayan ruins which is a 5 minute up the road. The... more

We also stayed at Caye Chapel as well as Blancaneaux (both around the same price range) and this was the best. From the personalized service and wonderful local food(my husband is vegetarian).. if you are looking for a different experience (not a 5 star american resort experience), this is for you. It is expensive, but decent value considering that it... more

We were so grateful to have made the trek into the rainforest for the last 3 days of our honeymoon at Lamanai Outpost Lodge. After spending a week diving on Ambergris Caye, Lamanai staff picked us up at the airport and we started our adventure by car and boat. The lodge is nestled at the edge of a lagoon and... more

For adventure in a remote part of Belize, the Lamanai Outpost Lodge was terrific. With its thatched roof cabins, open-air dining and riverside location, Lamanai was a huge hit with our three children and with us parents, too. Its location within walking distance of the Lamanai ruins means you can tour the ruins before or after the masses of daytrippers... more

Lovely place to stay, however talk with folks from Indian Church Village and you will find out some very unethical practices that have deeply impacted them. It is not how I want to invest my money in an international adventure. The Maya Lamani ruins were breath taking! Beautiful area! more

We had a fantastic experience at Lamanai Outpost Lodge. Our room was spacious and overlooked the beautiful New River. The room was very clean, comfortable and breezy. There was a family of howler monkeys living in a tree above our cabana. We were startled in the wee hours when they started howling; we didn't know what to expect. We took... more
