We looked at a lot of properties in the Placencia/Seine Bight/Maya Beach area before choosing Casa At Last...and it's unlikely we could have made a better choice. One of the few saving graces from an otherwise over-hyped and ridiculously over-priced vacation spot. Owners Cat and Dale's attention to detail reflects their longtime experience in the hospitality business. This was our first time to Belize and to Casa At Last - what a great resort! Absolutely gorgeous! We have been to many tropical paradises, but none compare with the individual treatment and beautiful facilities as Casa at Last. We stayed at Casa at Last for three nights the first week of April, 2007 and we had a wonderful time! The owners, Dale and Cat, were just getting started with Casa at Last after owning a resort in the Bahamas. We spent our honeymoon at Casa at Last and couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. For 4 of the 6 nights we stayed at Casa at Last we had the run of the entire 6 acres to ourselves. For the final 2 nights there was only 1 other couple on the grounds. Dale and Cat are wonderful hosts:... more
