We stayed 10 nights at this beautiful boutique resort and loved every moment of it. The setting is as nice as any in Placencia and I say this having being at various resorts many times. Our suite was as beautiful as advertised and the staff incredibly polished. Due to the beach eroding, as are many on the peninsula, the opportunity... More

Each spring break my family of four--two adults, two teenagers now--choose a different Caribbean location for a great warm-weather vacation from chilly Chicago. This year we chose Belize. After quite a bit of research we chose the location of Placencia Peninsula and the Laru Beya Resort. What a great choice! We had a 2-bedroom, 2-bath oceanfront suite (#303 and 304)... More

My husband and I had just finished a week sailing in the waters just off shore from this hotel and we stayed here for one night and wished we had booked for a longer stay. The facilities were wonderful and loved the golf cart where we could hop down to Placencia for nightlife. Our room was beyond comfortable and felt... More

Spent a night here after sailing and was very impressed. Super neat and tidy, clean and well maintained. Ocean front room just plain excellent. Staff could not do more for us. Quarterdeck restaurant delivers great food, try the panty ripper for a refreshing and strong drink. Stay more than one night.

We had a wonderful 7 night stay here! The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They helped us arrange tours in the area and gave directions for driving to the nearby caves. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. We stayed in a two bedroom suite. It was perfect for our needs and closer to the beach front... More

We had a great room with a very comfortable mattress, nice shower and a deck off the bedroom that overlooked the pool and into the sea, absolutely. the Quarterdeck Bar and restaurant was a great place to eat or have a drink while listening to the birds and the waves. Hotel was convenient to the Moorings base in Placencia, just... More

We stayed 4 nights here in late March and had the 3 bedroom suite in the Toucan building. Our balconies provided relaxing rest and breathtaking views. everyone was very very helpful and the grounds immaculate.

We spent 4 days here with our two kids, age 7 and 10. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was modern, clean and spacious. It had two large bathrooms. The Quarterdeck restaurant had amazing ocean / pool views, and made particularly good breakfasts (especially the stuffed fried jacks). It is a short... More
