We spent three nights at Westwind in June. It was well-located, clean and comfortable. Lisa was fantastic. The only reason not to stay here would be if you don't like dogs. Their dogs spend the day under the palapa with the hammocks. The dogs love the folks that stay at Westwind and hate unknown people that approach from the beach.... More

we spent 4 days here relaxing on hammocks on a beautiful beach with a lovely seaview. The owners are very friendly as are their dogs. They don't do breakfast but there are some nice places close by. The rooms are nice but could do with a bit of TLC

I was traveling alone, visiting Dangriga, Belize so I decided to go explore further south to Placencia. I traveled by local bus so I needed to stay in a central location. I was only going for 1 night so I wanted an affordable place to stay that was clean and safe. That is exactly what the Westwind offers. The great... More

Stayed here a couple of night to do a whaleshark dive with Seahorse dive shop. Stayed in a room with two beds and AC. Room was very inexpensive and had everything we needed. Very comfortable atmosphere and close to everything. Owners were great and would definitely recommend for the budget minded travelers who want a few more comforts. Loved the... More

We loved Westwind hotel on the beach. We stayed over Easter this year and it's such an idyllic location right on the beach, close to everything and the room was basic but clean. We opted for air conditioning as the rooms don't get much of a draft through them and this worked well. Lisa was very helpful providing us with... More

This hotel was amazing. We arrived and our air conditioner was not working, so in a matter of a few hours we had a new one. I was so ready to be cool as it was so very hot out. The room was comfortable and I loved the hammocks outside and the beach chairs. I would stay there again, it... More

Steve and I enjoyed our stay in Placencia at Westwind. Lisa and George were great hosts. They helped us with our walking tour of Placencia and George personally helped us to the airport when our cab fell through. Both Lisa and George had interesting stories of the history of the island. Lisa was helpful with suggestions about where to go... More

This hotel is RIGHT on the beach, has an awesome pallapa complete with many hammocks and chairs as well as beautiful palm trees everywhere. The owners, George and Lisa were extremely hospitable... one of the patrons had a medical emergency in the middle of the night, and George took it upon himself to drive him to a hospital over an... The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming - Lisa is super sweet and George is a great story teller. The rooms were no frills, but who can complain when you're right on the ocean?! The hotel feels more private because of the nice garden surrounding the walkway. Definitely had a nice stay and would love to come back!

We stayed here for 4 nights, and got the room on the ocean for $80/night. Lisa and her husband own and manage the place, and they do a great job. The rooms are small and simple, but are sufficient for what we needed. Hot water, optional AC for $10 extra, and a clear view of the ocean. The only drawback... More

Thank you so much for the review. With the continued rains this year, the 'palmetto' bugs from the coconut trees are seeking a dry place. I picked up some pellets today to take care of this problem. Thanks so much for the heads up. More
