We rented a private cottage next to the green parrot that is managed by the resort. We were treated just as well as if we were staying at the resort itself. Cabanas, beach and overall resort is lovely, perhaps a little far from placentia (one hour bike ride) but all fine if you plan your excursions and adventures carefully.
