Talk about hospitality in paradise…Mamanoots has the most wonderful and comfortable stay in the jungle. Surrounded by pristine jungle and luscious waterfalls, Mamanoots sits in the heart of the Mayan landscape. Not only are you completely engulfed by the beauty, but you are welcomed into a warm lodge every morning, afternoon and evening. The food is superb and the staff... more

Windy a few kilometers off the beaten track to this slice of the way life used to be, or should be, was an experience I will never forget. Savey customer service with genuine people, who know how to cook, greet, mix a good cocktail. This is a more than charming experience, it is awesome, the gracious nature of this family... more

Mamanoots is great place to stay - definately unique in its setting - very nice to be able to stay so far into the jungle but have all the comforts of a nice hotel / lodge. Nan, Camille and Jason are great hosts too, really friendly to everyone and lots of fun too. Jason and Nans food is awesome -... more

This was my third time returning to MamaNoots and I once again had an excellent time there. The surrounding jungle and the numerous trails leading to amazing waterfalls provide days of exploring. There are Mayan ruins that appear out of the bush and gorgeous swimming holes that one can have all to themselves. The resort generates all of its own... more

We just returned from Belize (unfortunately). This is what experiencing the jungle is all about. To have folks like Nan, her 2 beautiful and fun daughters, Mr. Ezmeraldo, Uncle Chulo, and King (the dog) accomodate my wife and I was an unbelievable experience for us. The great service, food, positive atmosphere, tranquility, and rustic/clean and comfortable cabanas only magnified the... more

The location is spectacular. However, the accomodation leaves much to be desired and will bother travellers who are used to what one would consider an acceptable standard of accomodation. Food was satisfactory, but the dining environment needs attention. Rusticity is fine, but the operation seems to be in need of a serious injection of capital in order to upgrade it... more

Heaven on earth! After an eventful day, a great meal, story telling and tons of laughs the cool mountain air coached me into a very splendid sleep. My alarm clock was the sound of at least thirty diferent types of birds. After listening to these wide range of beautiful sounds, I stepped outside and witnessed an early "rush hour". All... more
