This is a very good place to relax for a week and just dive. The staff is incredibly friendly and they go out of their way to help you. The food was great, fresh seafood just about every meal. The diving is very good and the accommodations are basic but more than adequate. The only issue we had with the... more

Isla Marisol is an adventurous place that lacks the amenities of what you expect in something called a "resort." It's really more like what I think of as a dive camp. (Keep in mind that I would prefer a dive camp to a resort any day.) The villas were basic. There is no hot water (pretty unecessary in the tropics... more

We stayed at Isla Marisol in January and to our disappointment it was not what we thought it would be. Their website definately did not represent the reality of the situation. The most concerning aspect of our trip was SAFETY. The snorkel guide took us out in a boat that was old and crappy with no life vests, radio, and... more

I just arrived home 2 days ago from Isla Marisol. I enjoyed a full 10 days of amazing friends, delicious cuisine and the main reason I was there.... TO DIVE & FILM THE WHALE SHARKS.... and Spotted Drum Fish!!! To say the least.... I got ALOT of what I wanted. The first 4 days we spent at Gladden Spit and... more

My husband and I decided to take our honeymoon in Belize and we got Scuba certified before we went. After reading an entire Lonely Planet about Belize, a few places stuck out and one was Glover's Reef and Isla Marisol. Because it was our honeymoon, we wanted to spend an entire week in one place (no hassles) and have it... more

We started a 3 1/2 week vacation in Belize with one week at Isla Marisol. We stayed in Cabana 3, about 20 feet from waters edge, away from the bar and restaurant but an easy walk to everything. The room was just fine, would have preferred one large bed rather two doubles but that is a quibble. The ceiling fan... more

This place is amazing, I spent a year living in Belize and I still wonder this is "the place to be" in all the country, it has an exceptional view of the Caribbean and the hotel can’t be better! It’s totally gorgeous! more

I meant to send a review after staying here in May but have only just got round to it. We timed our trip to see whale sharks coming up through the region, Isla Marisol is well experienced and well geared up to do this and we did see 4 whale sharks whilst we were there. The whale shark diving is... more

This resort with its amazing scenery and some of the best diving in the Caribbean had the potential to be my favorite diving place of all time. Unfortunately, a few hassles and disappointments, mostly service related, resulted in my less-than-perfect opinion. I feel like we were cheated on our experience. Based on reviews we had read before and have read... more
