We spent a total of five nights at Pelican Beach. Four nights were in room 19 in the back/new building, one night in room 10 in the front/original building. The location, at the North end of town and on the waterfront, can't be beat. We enjoyed walking along the water and out onto the pier. The staff at Pelican Beach... More

We unfortunately were only able to stay one night at the Pelican but we enjoyed great food, a lovely breeze and a wonderful beach view. We were able to watch the sunrise from our balcony and after a great breakfast we relaxed on the pier. In Dangriga we visited Marie Sharp's hot sauce factory and the Garifuna museum and really... Pelican Beach Resort was the only place to stay in Dangriga. It is a lovely basic but clean and comfortable resort next to the ocean. The room views are great and the restaurant is right on the beach. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel is on the edge of town near the airport. It is an easy 10... More

We stayed here for a night before heading over to their South Water Caye location. The property is very well-maintained and lots of birds can be found on it. If you're a birder, you may like it. You can also find little lizards and large iguanas. There is no beach to speak of, but there is a dock. The service... More

Enjoyed lunch here and visited their island location on a snorkeling trip. This locally owned resort has great food and service. We relaxed here a few hours enjoying the views, and Wi-Fi then headed back out for more budget travel. Based on the snorkeling around the island location and food at the mainland location, I wish we had booked a... More

There is not a whole lot to do in Dangriga, and even though this hotel is right on the beach, it is not that good for going snorkeling (water a bit muddy) or hanging on the beach (sand flies). But the location is great if you are going to South Water Caye, and the staff is very friendly.

We went to dangriga on short notice for the Bocawinna zip line tour and right befor new year's so it seemed that rooms were booked up. I made a request about a room and did not receive a reply for 24 hours so I booked at a different hotel. We were there on a Sunday night and this was the... More

On several occasions I have stayed here. Rooms can be booked with or without A/C. I prefer the rooms over the restaurant. No A/C but with fan and windows open, just hearing the surf roll in lulls me to sleep. The food can be hit or miss. Staff does not always perceive guest needs so be prepared to get their... More

The staff were not nearly as friendly or helpful as all the other places we stayed in Belize. The rooms with no verandas are very small, dark and plain. Sort of motel 6. I upgraded to one with a veranda so.much nicer. The food is very good. Located at the far end of town, much farther than we expected to... More

We stayed for a week in June and it was fine. The hotel was clean, nice sheets on the bed (a rarity in Belize). The restaurant was very good, we enjoyed all of our meals there. Have the stuffed Jacks! The front desk staff were friendly and helped set us up with a taxi driver so we could tour around... More
