Thatch Caye is probably the closest I will ever get to feeling pampered on my own private island. Located nine miles off shore from Dangriga, Thatch Caye is about 1 mile long and accommodates small groups. The very friendly staff made sure my husband and I are well taken care of. On the way over by boat, our captain spotted... More

You were so pleased with our stay at Thatch Caye last year that we decided to return. It was a first for us as we usually like to go to new places. The only locations to which we have returned, are Thailand and Bhutan. A lots of expectations...And we came back planning a third trip. Thatch Caye is a superbe... More

Recently stayed here as part of a group trip. The hotel, which takes up an entire small and narrow island, is all about the water. The rooms are clean and comfortable; I enjoyed my cabana over the water. They currently have a good chef, and the tasty food included local specialities. I got hungry during the long stretch between lunch... More

This is a little piece of paradise off the coast of Dangriga. The resort is beautiful and feels very exclusive, despite being reasonably priced. We stayed in one of the cabanas which were lovely bungalows out over the water - these are spaced well apart and it is lovely falling asleep in your hammock with the sound of water all... More

Amazing. Accommodations were great, just got home and the weather was beautiful! Staff was amazing, after a week we were so upset to leave because we felt like we were leaving family. Steve is a gracious host looking to cater to you and your needs and ensure a good time. Chris the manager was so helpful in making us feel... More

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of July and stayed in the "family villa" which consists of three cabanas situated over the ocean sharing a common deck. Our stay was wonderful - the staff were extremely helpful & pleasant while the setting is unforgettable. The food is very good which is not always true in Belzian resorts.... More

My wife and I and our two sons recently spent 4 days at Thatch Caye and absolutely loved it. Scuba diving in the morning, hanging out in hammocks in the afternoon, great food - pretty much paradise. But what made it so special was the people at Thatch Caye, and how they were committed to making our stay perfect. It... More

Any day when the only thing I put on my feet are swim fins is my idea of a perfect day! Went barefoot to dinner at this most relaxed and wonderful private island resort. Enjoyed reading on a hammock in the lovely Trade Winds, snorkeling was the best I have ever done, food was quite good at every meal and... More

This was probably one of the best vacation my girlfriend and I had. In great part due to the resort and the people that made it so special. The trip there from DC can be long. 15hours approximately took us from DC to the resort. However, once you get in the boat to go the 9 miles from the mainland... More

Thatch Caye is a wonderful place. My partner and I went there for our honeymoon, and we had an excellent time. The island itself is beautiful, intimate, and well-cared for. There are birds and marine wildlife all over the island, and it really felt like we were on our own private island. The food was excellent! Every morning we were... More
