Bohemian - alternative lifestyle, extremely wide range of tastes in music, fashion, art, literature etc, very creative, optomistic, very laid back and relaxed. - urban dictionary This bohemian house is "quaint" and would fit in on the Russian River in Northern California. It was created for love of art and architectural design (colored cement, inlaid glass) but a lot of... More

We spent a week at the cottage and liked it more at the end of the trip than we did the beginning. It was close to the Cahal Pech ruins (15 minute hike up hill) and the San Ignacio Resort Hotel (where we swam and checked out the iguanas). It was nice to have our own, private space and be... More

This cottage is adorable. It's like staying in an art gallery...simply spectacular. The furniture is gorgeous (but built for looks, not comfort.). The back yard conjures images of Eden. The caretaker is wonderful and helped us procure a tour at a reasonable price. It's clean and in good repair, well supplied (no hot water in kitchen if you are a... More

We have never been to San Ignacio -- it is a quaint (although a bit loud on the weekends in the city center) little place. In the cottage, we were more insulated from that street noise. We really enjoyed out stay!!! This rental cottage suited us just fine for our 4 night stay. There is plenty of room for a... More

What a wonderful place and a great value. My husband and I stayed at Kumquat cottage for a week in June. The grounds are lovely and the cottage is well appointed. I especially enjoyed the large shower and bathtub. The cottage is located very close to downtown but just far enough away to be peaceful. The kitchen is well stocked... More

Really enjoyed being here. Very convenient to downtown San Ignacio, but away from the noise and commotion. We do a lot of our own cooking, so we just loved the large kitchen. There is nothing that isn't accounted for...electric skillet, bread maker (seriously), espresso machine/coffee pot (do try Belezian coffee, delicious), cheese grater, etc. Couldn't think of anything we didn't... We stayed in the Kumquat cottage for a few days in March. It was a nice property with many amenities. It is set up inside with a jungle/ikea decor that was very interesting. It had all the things you would expect in a house, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a huge shower and a bathtub - something you... More

We were there for a week the first part of April, 2012. Sharon and Nigel greeted us and gave us the tour of the cottage and let us know how things worked. All the steps sort of worried me, because I'm a little clumsy, but the only thing I kept tripping over was the little lip going into the bathroom!... More

We stayed at Kumquat for a month, our second visit to San Ignacio. We chose it because of its convenient location to the center of town, shopping and restaurants, and riverside walks. Sharon and Nigel, property managers, were most helpful in orienting us to the cottage amenities and quirks, upon our arrival. Thereafter, they were always reachable by phone and... More

We stayed at this house for 4 nights and were happy with the rental. The care takers were very nice and informative. The Positives. 1)The garden is amazing and is why im giving it a 4. We spent most of our time when we were at the house either sleeping or sitting on the porch drinking beers looking out into... More
