Calling this an eco resort is a bit of a misnomer. The owner couldn’t tell me the best place on his property for bird watching and then proudly said that he was thinking of putting in a golf course! The cabañas are OK but a bit rundown, with dreadful lighting, and the food is nothing special. If you buy a... More

We staid at Casa Maya Resort just one week before Eastern and it was a great experience. We researched at tripadvisor and on the Casa Maya website and knew exactly what to expect. Yes, of course we could have saved a lot of money in renting a car but we enjoyed our vacation, not care for anything, have excursions in... More

Casa Maya Eco lodge has great cabanas with 20-foot tall thatched roofs. The room was VERY large and had two queen beds, a table with 2 chairs, walk-in closet, and a large bathroom that was the length of the room. The only downside is that the finish is very rough with almost no amenities. If you're looking for luxury don't... More

Our stay at Casa Maya Resort was a very delightful experience. Its location in the jungle is simply paradise. The food, host and accomadations were great. The serenity of Casa Maya is second to none with the beautiful flora, fauna and wildlife running abound. More

I've traveled to Belize many times and find the Casa Maya Resort to be one of the most beautiful and tranquil resorts I've had the privilege to stay at. The atmosphere there is very friendly and accommodating and the owner and staff were always willing to make me feel at home. The food was delicious and was actually prepared by... More

We're just come back from a great trip into Belize and Guatemala and the mot relaxing vacation we had at Casa Maya Reostr near San Ignacio. The very exciting things on Casa Maya are the big cabanas covered with palm leaves, new and big bath rooms, a great restaurant and bar with the leaves on the roof too and a... More

We're actually heading back from Belize and we're filled with emotions and excellent memories. We first staid 30 minutes North of San Pedro at Salamander and they mentioned a partner on the mainland - we finally booked. We just arrived when a whole football team from Nicaragua or Costa Rica left and we had a whole resort nearly for us.... More

What a beautiful setting in the rainforest of Belize. This eco-hotel nestled in the jungle just outside of San Ignacio is paradise. A great place to settle for awhile as you tour around the area to visit a number of fairly close by ruins including Tikal in Guatemala and Xunantunich, Caracol and caves to explore!. We were greeted so warmly... More

Hi, we are just back from Belize, Central America and we discoverd a small tresor around 3 miles away from San Ignacio. The name was Casa Maya Eco Resort and we hit at that spot just by chance. There was a big sign at the street to Benque and we decided that we should have a look. The property looks... More
