This guesthouse was recommended to us by a couple we met in Placencia........We were not disappointed.....the owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating! The room was very, very clean and comfortable. Food and service excellent!!! Thank you, Martha! We would definitely stay with you again....

The Guesthouse is well located. Parking space for tree vehicles. No service what so ever. I stay here for three nights. And never again. If I have to. The room was ok. A very good one star room. The TV did not work properly. I had to request several times to the front desk person to fix the remote control... More

Martha's was twice the price of some of the other local guest houses, but way more than twice the room. After examining other dingy rooms, we were so happy with the clean atmosphere, comfortable beds, hot water with great pressure and fast wifi. And the tamales from the restaurant were a highlight. I would highly reccomend Martha's.

Liked our stay at Martha's! Pros: big rooms, large bed, very clean, perfect hot shower, free A/C, very helpful and.very nice staff, excellent breakfast and nice little outside terrace ideal for quiet diner and most of all very good central location right in the city center of S.I. Cons: lot of noise at night from adjacent bar or disco (room... More

Martha & her staff are the highlight of this place. They couldn't have been nicer! The young man who waiters in the restaurant is an aspiring farmer. Good luck to him with his organic pig farm! They're close to the action for sure. In fact on a Friday & Saturday night you unfortunately will hear the club until 4am on... More

We stayed at Marthas for four nights while exploring Cayo region. It was perfectly located near the main strip of restaurants and tour companies. Near the bus stop and the tourist info centre. They have a laundry service and a restaurant and a night guard at the door. We didn't notice the noise too much and the rooms were very... More

I have stayed at Marthas in the past and enjoyed it. Hotel is fine, restaurant is fine. Perhaps it was just that I stayed mid-week before – I don’t remember. This time we booked Friday, Sat , Sun. and it was a disaster. The pounding and thumping from the music in the nearby town square until 3 am was intolerable.... More

We chose Martha's because we had dinner at the restaurant a couple of times during our last visit and we were so impressed with Marin (and his pinacoladas!) that we wanted to be there more often. Unfortunately, our visit was timed badly, and Martha was away for a week. They still put us up, but down the road at the... More

Between the a/c & the fan we were very comfortable during our entire stay. The bed was comfy and the staff friendly & accommodating. The yummiest food on their menu was a soup called Escabeche. It's a spicy soup with vegetables & chicken with fresh tortillas & coconut rice on the side.

My colleague and I accompanied 14 college students on a trip to Belize. We stayed in Martha's Inn (about a 5-10 minute walk from the Guesthouse) for one-week while we were in San Ignacio. We had the entire building to ourselves. There was parking for our two-large passenger vans. Maid service was included as well. Our students loved the place.... More
