We stayed one night at Martha's Guesthouse and loved the Spanish décor and extraordinarily comfortable beds with crisp white sheets and Guatemalan bedspreads. The place is charming. We did not use our small balcony as there seemed to be smells from a nearby restaurant, but frankly it didn't matter as we were happy to spend our time exploring San Ignacio.... More

Stayed in the top floor suite. Probably the nicest hotel room we have stayed in. Great views and huge deck to relax on. The top floor is probably quieter than the lower floors. San Ignacio downtown is not the place to stay for peace and quiet- it is a bustling border town with lots of vehicular traffic, music etc. Good... More

Lovely rooms in a very central location. We stayed on the second floor but found it a bit noisy - truck traffic starts up on the streets outside very early in the morning. One night had lots of noise coming from the room next door. On site travel staff happy to arrange tours and the restaurant is also good. Staff... More

Really enjoyed our stay at Martha's. The property itself is generously proportioned with common sitting areas, and a restaurant. Our room was a Junior suite, just the right size for my wife and I and our two teenagers. It also had a small balcony and a.c. The Guesthouse is right in the middle of town, which is great. We had no... More

We recently completed a trip to Mexico and Belize. We stayed at Martha's for one night and then returned later for another two. The location is close to anything in town. The staff arranged a tour for us to the ATM which was convenient as we were on a tight schedule. The rooms felt like home and the large sitting... More

Me and a couple of girlfriend's stayed here almost a week while exploring the area. San Ignacio is a good place for home base. This hotel was in the heart of the shopping district and within walking distance to lots of eateries and several tourist stores. You pre-pay for your visit with a deposit, so make sure your dates are... More

Spent 3 nights at Martha's - everything was perfect! Room was great and clean, people were amazing! Location is right in town, close to restaurants, tour companies, markets and shops! Also it helps to have a great restaurant in house, great way to start off your day with a great breakfast. Coffee was soo good I had to buy a... More

We rented the apartment annex from Martha and was happy with it. The apt was spacious with 2b/2b, a kitchen and a living room. It was nice and clean. It was a 5-minute walk to town which was convenient and away from major traffic and noise. Martha, the front desk lady, Myra and the cleaning lady were helpful. There were... More

I called to book a room for one night for my family and was told they had one room left. I told them I'd like the room and I'd arrive at approximately 6 pm. I told them I'd definitely be there and asked if I should leave my credit card number and the gentleman on the phone said he'd take... More

Great rooms and friendly service! Convenient location in the city with a store right beside it. Delicious breakfast! Great view of the city and a very beautiful sight at night. I would recommend this place because we had a great stay and we are really satified!
