Really unique place to stay and would definitely recommend it. Situated by the river in the jungle, it's a great location out of the hot hustle and bustle of san Ignacio town. We had two different wooden cabins while we stayed and both were very comfortable and spacious although basic but with a private deck. Shared bathroom facilities but all... More

The food was some of the best I had in Belize. Marcus is really helpful and goes out of his way to help you get a tour organized. I highly recommend this place. The individuals cabins and community dining/hang out space offer a nice mix of privacy and opportunities to meet other travelers.

Awesome cabanas and Marcus was a great host who's very helpful.very peaceful but a bit warm since there's only fans. Relaxing atmosphere on the river with tasty breakfast and dinners, ice goes quickly with one communal fridge. Strongly recommend to travelers looking for simple and organic.

finally home and able to write a review for this wonderful place. accommodation is very rustic, do not come expecting marble floors and a turn down service, this is rustic living in a wonderful location. The food is amazing, Nada can really cook and Theo has no problem with you asking for a little more at any time. She tends... More

Theo and Marcus are great hosts. They are always going out of their way to help the guests to have the best experience that they can have. They welcome you and treat everyone like a big family. The grounds are beautiful and amazing birds (like Toucans) may just be sitting in a tree next to you. In general, it feels... More

We stayed here for a few days mid April this year and it was awesome. It is located right on the river so you can have a dip whenever you feel the need. We saw so much wildlife right on our doorstep such as toucans, iguanas and fireflies at night. Marcus, is an excellent host. He gave us great advice... More

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Parrots Nest Lodge. The owners are really friendly, we felt like part of the family! They organised all our day trips, we visited Tikal and ATM with Max Adventure Tours. We also spent a day exploring San Ignacio, we visited Cahal Pech, the Iguana sanctuary and made chocolate at Ajaw, all wonderful,... More

My fiancé and I visited Parrot's Nest Lodge (PNL just for easiness on the fingers) during the Spring of 2015. Overall we thought this place was fantastic, and to be quite honest although it was a great place to start our month long travel we were gutted that the bar had been raised so high; we were comparing everywhere we... We stayed in the Treehouse for 3 nights and it was awesome. The food is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. You are literally staying in the jungle so be prepared. We heard howler monkeys one night which freaked us out until we found out what it was. We enjoyed everything about this place, from the ruins nearby to the... More

I always wanted to stay in a jungle lodge, and wasn't disappointed by this Parrot Nest Lodge. It's actually in Bullet Tree Falls, not San Ignacio, but is easily reached by bus or collective taxi. The cabins are on stilts, ours had bathroom and shower in the back. Breakfast and dinners by advance notice, and the food was healthy and... More
