The resort is on a hill, and you have to drive up a gravel road to get there. The rooms were nice and clean, and the view from the sitting area off the lobby was beautiful. Also, the breakfast buffet was very good and changed daily. Our group inadvertently picked up a bag that did not belong to us. The... More

By Far a beautiful panoramic view sets this hotel apart from the others, it is located at the top of hill near the ancient maya ruin of Cahal Pech like it's name overlooking the town of Cayo. Staff is friendly and very accomodating courteus and very professional, efficient. Food served in the hotel restaurant is freshly made, especially the handmade... More

We stayed for three weeks and I loved every second of it. The staff are absolutely amazing and so helpful and knowledgeable. They also organized all of our excursions that we did outside of the hotel so they were much cheaper than they might have been had we organized them on our own. The view is amazing and there are... This was my first time staying at Cahal Pech Resort, which is located just next to the Cahal Pech archaeological site at the top of a steep and bumpy dirt road. The view of the town of San Ingacio below is beautiful, especially at night. There are 2 types of accomodations here; the hotel in the main building, and individual... More

Nice cabana's, pools, restaurant, and bar, with a very friendly and helpful staff. Best of all the hotel is just across from the Cahal Pech Mayan ruins, where you can wander around at your leisure without the constant, suspicious oversight that one gets at historical sites in the U.S.. Downtown San Ignacio is within walking distance (though you might want... More

The resort is on top of a hill which looks over the town of San Ignacio to the East, and to the West, looks over the hills of Guatemala. Our room was clean, air conditioned, and we had the most spectacular view (it's so beautiful there is no way you could not have a nice view). The staff felt more... More

The room was clean, air conditioned, & the view was lovely. The staff was most helpful. Due to a credit card issue, one of our party needed to make a call to the company back in the states. The front desk provided their U.S. phone for the call which saved her money & worry. The tours we arranged through the... More

The accommodations were excellent. We had a thatched roof bungalow on the beautiful groups. The restaurant was very good. We were served delicious dinner in private room and a sumptuous breakfast on the patio. The multi-level pool was a highlight and the view over the valley and beyond was outstanding.

This resort looks down on the town of San Ignacio and west towards the hills of Guatemala. The setting is delightful, with shady spaces to eat and watch the valley below protected from the warm tropical sun and frequent rain showers. The room I stayed in was very comfortable, with tile floors, a comfortable bed, quiet and effective air conditioning,... More

We had a great stay here. The food and staff are wonderful. Great swimming pools and a great view. My only complaint was the lack of good lighting in the bathroom, which is an extremely minor issue. This was a very good location for us to take an expedition to Caracol on our own and a guided trip through ATM... More
