I never give a bad review. I prefer not giving a review. All I can say is Cahal Petch is over rated. Outdated, expensive and table waiters oblivious to their jobs. Had 1 front desk (male) excellent. 1 waiter excellent. The rest...a waste

The resort was very hard to find, road is very bumpy, We had a dual room with one room having a king size bed and the other having two queen beds. The air conditioner leaked all night long and the beds were very very hard. like sleeping on the floor. The view is great and the pool was relaxing. Does... More

I do not understand why anyone would give this hotel a 4 or 5 star review. It is far from a 4 star hotel. The hotel looks like it had its heyday about 20 years ago. The two best parts of this place are its view of San Ignacio and its proximity to the Cahal Pech ruins which are right... More

This resort is up a very bumpy drive; it's the uppermost point in San Ignacio, though, making it a breeze to find. The grounds are gorgeous, filled with tropical plants and trees. An area with two pools (one with a "waterfall") and restaurant actually help to enhance the grounds further. We stayed in a second story in one of the... More

Cahal Pech Village Resort sits on top of a hill, the town of San Ingacio and Cahal Pech Mayan ruins is with in walking distance. The Cahal Pech ruins has a small entry fee and not guided. My husband enjoyed climbing everything! The resort, during our travel was very clean. Very nice to come back from a full day tour... More

Our group stayed at the Cahal Pech Village Resort for a couple of days, while in the Cayo area. The cons are the rooms are a little bit dated/tired. Also, it's a gravel road up to the resort, so a little bumpy driving up. Or kind of a steep walk up the hill to the resort, but it is doable.... More

The resort is on a hill, and you have to drive up a gravel road to get there. The rooms were nice and clean, and the view from the sitting area off the lobby was beautiful. Also, the breakfast buffet was very good and changed daily. Our group inadvertently picked up a bag that did not belong to us. The... More

By Far a beautiful panoramic view sets this hotel apart from the others, it is located at the top of hill near the ancient maya ruin of Cahal Pech like it's name overlooking the town of Cayo. Staff is friendly and very accomodating courteus and very professional, efficient. Food served in the hotel restaurant is freshly made, especially the handmade... More

We stayed for three weeks and I loved every second of it. The staff are absolutely amazing and so helpful and knowledgeable. They also organized all of our excursions that we did outside of the hotel so they were much cheaper than they might have been had we organized them on our own. The view is amazing and there are... This was my first time staying at Cahal Pech Resort, which is located just next to the Cahal Pech archaeological site at the top of a steep and bumpy dirt road. The view of the town of San Ingacio below is beautiful, especially at night. There are 2 types of accomodations here; the hotel in the main building, and individual... More
