We stayed here as a base camp while going to Tikal, ATM caves and other adventures. The staff was awesome, foe example when our atm trip had to be rescheduled at the last moment (cave closures and we had to switch to Tikal which meant checking out and rearranging our days ( we were doing the overnight trip) the staff... The staff at Cahal Pech take care of every need quickly and with pleasure. Cynthia, the tour contact, was especially helpful. The grounds are beautiful and except for the walk up the huge hill (we needed the exercise anyway) the location is perfect--you get the rainforest feel yet are still close to everything in town. Loved it.

We stayed here for three nights and it was one of the best locations to view San Ignacio from the hilltop. The hotel has two large swimming pools, a bar, open restaurant and thatch cabanas. We had our own family cabana, two private beds, a bathroom, two outside porch and a living room area. It was perfect for a family... More

We were booked at the Cahal Pech because the Midas Resort overbooked us for our first night. What a treat to get to experience this resort! Driving up the hill, out of the main town, on the bumpy, unpaved roads, we weren't sure what we were in for. But when we got there, and saw our huge corner room, with... More

This was the first place we stayed in Belize and it was really nice. We must've had one of the best rooms because the view in the morning was spectacular. Everything was clean and really nice. The night we got in was Christmas so the restaurant had a Christmas buffet for $35 US/person. It was a bit too much for... More

Cahal Pech Village Resort and staff were AMAZING!! The private hut was cozy with an awesome view of San Ignacio. The breakfast buffet was perfect with multiple items to choose from, which allowed us to eat and take off on early morning tours. Wait staff and cooks were fantastic!! Staff at the front desk was helpful and courteous. Lenny, our... More

Interesting resort but considerable older and more worn that photos show. We were there for Christmas evening and the next day. Christmas buffet was truly terrible and expensive. Breakfast buffet next morning was ok, but was set up so late that we had to gulp to make our tour. Room in cabin/cabana was on 3rd floor with great view and... More

My 2 daughters and I stayed here for 2 nights just prior to Christmas 2014. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location on top of the hillside was provided beautiful views, especially in the morning. The rooms were sufficient, probably better than most in the downtown area, but also probably not as nice as more expensive jungle... More

Although the city of St. Ignacio is no big deal, the view of the city from this hilltop hotel is wonderful The rooms are small but clean and the on-site restaurant also has great view with good food and service... Kudos to Raphael, the afternoon desk clerk...When no tour was available to Tikal because I was the only guest interested... More

We stayed here in a cabana. If you want a different experience I say try staying in the cabanas. The views from the top of the hill was amazing. The food was beyond amazing. We didn't try anything we didn't like. All the employees were more than helpful and friendly the entire time we stayed. NO wifi in rooms, but... More
