Just returned from San Ignacio. We decided to try Casa Blanca on the advice of friends. We're not disappointed. Was clean, staff was wonderful and having a common room equipped with fridge and microwave was perfect. People watching from the balcony was fun. Showed us places to eat by the volume of people entering restaurants. I would recommend this inexpensive... More

This hotel is well located in the heart of San Ignacio and was very comfortable. After having spent a couple of weeks in hostels sleeping on what felt like bricks, it was a welcome change to spend a couple of nights sleeping on a nice comfortable mattress. The showers are hot (which is great after an ATM cave tour) and... More

On first impressions this didn't look great. The door was locked from the outside, but this was good for security, you get a key for the front door when you check in. The hotel reception was only manned until 8pm, although it was possible to find staff at night in an emergency. The hotel rooms were sizeable and the beds... More

We stayed at the Casa Blanca for two nights and were sceptical after reading reviews. The hotel had locked iron gates in front the door and a lounge area reminiscent of times gone by. The room at first impression was quite tired, and air con charged at $20 per night....BUT staff lovely...room had lots of storage, good shower, free wifi... More

The owner, Beatriz Guerra, operates a pleasant guest house that far exceeded my expectations for a week stay. Slept well each night. Well located, clean, comfortable human scale facility that great benefits from the owner's commitment to hospitality. Walking into Casablanca, I immediately felt welcome, comfortable and safe. Those expecting a luxury hotel will be disappointed. This is a guest... More

We'd award this hotel an extra blip if it didn't advertise a $20 surcharge for air conditioning. We decided to tough it out with just a fan and were not too uncomfortable. Casa Blanca's in the center of San Ignacio, and as someone has already commented, the balcony offers a fine view of small town life in upcountry Belize. I... More

We stayed here a week in February. The rooms were clean and staff was friendly and very helpful. Kitchen was well equipped if you wanted to cook, but with very good restaurants right across the street there was no need. We enjoyed our stay.

It's like staying an grandma's house! Lol. Doilies everywhere which has a certain charm about it. Free wifi but it's a bit on and off. Friendly staff but need to pay extra US$20 a night for the air-con which you will need as the humidity is so intense you'll be sweating all night. It's hot and stuffy in the rooms.... More

The pros: Casa Blanca is centrally located, and the room was clean The cons: The room was incredibly hot, so you'll probably want to pay more and get airconditioning. The kitchen had no stove, so you can keep things in the fridge and reheat in the microwave, but there's no way to cook the farm-fresh eggs you can get at... More

They charge you 20 us $ for the A/C. The rooms and windows are so tiny that the rooms get terribly hot leaving you no other choice but to obey the rip off. I can only warn anybody to not stay here. If you like to sleep in saunas and love creepy doll decoration, this might be your place.
