My family (4 adults and 2 children) traveled to Belize for 2 weeks in July. We spent half the time at DuPlooy's jungle lodge and half on the beach in Ambergris Caye. My in-laws stayed at DuPlooy's about 10 years ago and recommended it to us. We read lots of reviews on Trip Advisor before deciding on DuPlooys, and it... more

I have been to Belize more than 12 times and stayed in many different accommodations in San Ignacio area. duPlooy's continues to be one of my favorite locations for a relaxing experience and a place to see outstanding variety of flora and fauna. The location is ideal for staying put and taking advantage of local recreation and relaxation. The food... more

DuPlooy's hosted our wedding in February, and it was pretty much perfect. We couldn't have hoped to have everything go so smoothly if we'd had the wedding at home. I probably wouldn't recommend an event at DuPlooy's to anyone who has to have everything "just so." We did actually get exactly what we wanted and more from the entire event,... more

I have now been to DuPlooy's three times and it gets better with every visit. Set in the jungle near the Guatemala border, it is close to many interesting sites in Belize and offers top rate service. The food was wonderful, the service great and canoeing/swimming in the river is a great plus. more

It was great. Totally relaxing, very magical. But found the beds to be uncomfortable. Went horse back riding to the ruins and felt I could have used more instruction since it was my first time considering the level of difficulty and length of the trail. The guides were the best! Service was great and everyone showed up at our convenience... more

My Husband, 2 children and I traveled to du Plooy's and stayed for 3 nights. The reason we chose du Plooy's was for the extremely flexible package they offer-you can do any tour they offer on any day when on the package. All of the staff were very friendly-Ricky the front desk guy was more then willing to help us... more

We only spent one night at duPlooy's, and I think our overall rating might have been higher if we had stayed longer and it had not rained the morning we left. This is an aging facility which feels like something from a byegone era. But it is clean and functional. Our room was large with two queen beds, and it... more

We wanted a Jungle experience near the Mayan Ruins, and at Duplooys this is definitely what you get. You can't get more remote than this -forget about cell phone service- beautiful, expansive grounds.... with a nice beach on a very clean river. The owners are a delight and all the staff exceed 5star service and attitude. Everyone is always ready... more

My husband and I stayed at DuPlooy's Nov 1 - 8, just when they reoopened after renovations. Everything about our stay was amazing. Our room was great, the food was great, the bartender and waitstaff were very friendly and helpful. Our guide, Philip, was the best. He was with us all week (we were on an all inclusive tour package).... more
