This is a nice lodge just a short distance from town. The room was a good value and was kept clean. This property has a jungle setting with a lot of trees and flowers. There is a nice pool and deck also. The food in the restaurant was very good with a limited menu. The staff was very friendly and... More

Maya Mountain Lodge was a great setting to celebrate our birthdays. My partner and I had decided to take a evening away from home, away from phones, tv and the Internet. MML was a perfect choice as the setting is serene, lovely and very hospitable. The Lodge staff helped celebrate the birthday was songs candles and cake. The cabana was... More

I almost never write a review but this place impressed me so much that it's impossible not to. The staff here is warm, personal and are always going out of their way for anything you ask of them. Elmer and Jose are the best. Food - they grow their own vegetable and herb garden. Many things you eat come straight... More

We had a wonderful time here. The staff was very accommodating and helped when I needed it. The only thing I could add is that I could have used a more complete kitchen area to work with. The hot water was a problems as well. They give free coffee every morning and you can purchase breakfast or dinner. I also... More

The rooms are quite basic (especially the bathrooms) and hardly enough towels for a family of 4. The setting is very nice, rooms hidden in little pavilion in the super nice garden; nice swimming pool deck. One can eat in the evening but everything has to be decided the morning nefore so this leaves zero room for spontaneous enjoyment. The... More

Guests are always welcome to arrive without reservations and order from the a la carte menu. There are nice choices which range from pork chops, steaks, pasta, an Arab plate, a Greek salad, and more. For guests who want to be included in our featured special they need to make a reservation. These specials, on most nights, represent an ethnic... More

The lodge is located 5 mins away from San Ignacio downtown. The rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable, the staff will do everything to assist you in the best possible way. Everyone is extremely friendly and ready to give plenty of advice to assist you during your stay. Every night there is a theme dinner, and you can feel free... More

Maya mountain lodge was exactly what we expected. The grounds are absolutely beautiful & the room was clean. The staff were friendly & we had a wonderful week there. Its not a 5 star luxury resort, its an eco jungle lodge. Its a place to enjoy the scenery & leave a bit of society & technology behind for a few... More

Beautiful scenery, amazingly friendly staff, fun little pool, delicious food at a reasonable price, and awesome prices for tours! This was an amazing introduction to Belize for my boyfriend and I. We got engaged on one of our tours, and the kitchen staff made us a wonderful dessert to celebrate! The only improvements I'd make are to the beds/bathroom/decor. They... More

My friend and I recently traveled to San Ignacio to use as a base and go explore some of the inland attractions in Belize. When we arrived after a long trip from the Cayes across, we were promptly informed that the pool was broken, not scheduled to be repaired until after our departure date. This was a bit disappointing given... More

We stayed two nights in one of the cabins close to the road, but you wouldn't know it by how much vegetation is between the cabins and the road that helps cut down on the noise. The grounds are breathtaking, colorful, and relaxing. We did walk around and stopped by the pool (before it was broke down). The entire area... More
