I like the location outside of the noisy streets of San Ignacio. The property is scenic and has lots of birds. The food was nothing special. The staff were polite, but impersonal and stand-off-ish. Not as friendly and welcoming as some other accommodations in the area. No a/c room was available and thus room was miserable hot. Over-priced. more

We stayed at Windy Hill for a few days before heading over to Ambergris Caye. So glad we decided to include this in our itinerary. The place was simple but beautiful. The staff was wonderful and the tour guides extremely knowlegable, especially Jorge and Martin. Staff quick to address your every concern--bartender and Jack of all trades "Smokey" made the stay very enjoyable. Good and Bad. Check all your bills, they overcharged and padded the bills daily (including tour bills, meals, bar). They had a few tours but were unhelpful when they did not have a tour.
