We stayed at Crystal Palace on two occasions - Feb 2012 and April 2014 (1 night + 2 nights). The Tutt family are lovely, friendly and helpful. The food not that wonderful but the surroundings and people made up for mediocre food. We saw lots of birds in the grounds of the lodge but had a very fruitful birding trip... More

The Crystal Palace Resort is in a beautiful and serene location off the Macal River, in the Belize rainforest. It's thatched roofs and open ambiance immediately transports you into a calm state of mind. With a friendly, local Belizean staff and owner, they make you feel welcome into the small resort and make sure your every need and desire is... More

The cabins were beautiful, clean and comfortable, but what made it special was being treated like family by the staff. The meals we had there were delicious and served family style. The grounds are beautiful, lots of flowers and birds. Everything you need when you want some down time after exploring all the sights of Belize.

We spent three wonderful nights at Crystal Paradise on a March trip to Belize. The Tut family were excellent hosts, with a wealth of knowledge about local birds. The food was excellent, and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. The grounds of Crystal Paradise were beautiful, and we had a great morning bird walk with our guide Andy. We rented... More

We had a terrific time staying with the Tut family that owns/runs Crystal Paradise. The rooms were clean and welcoming and a terrific value. The scrumptious meals were served in the open-air dining room under a two story high thatched-roof. They were even accommodating and packed a sack-lunch for us so we could head out early and see some of... More

We booked a week long birding package with 'Birding in Belize', run by the Tut family which also runs the Crystal Paradise Resort. We cannot say enough good things about the birding package, the resort, and the Tut family. The accommodations, and meals, were wonderful. The cabanas have tall thatched roofs with large ceiling fans that keep the rooms cool... More

This is my third stay at the Crystal Paradise Resort and it won't be my last. I have led college trips of @20 people and 2 Becoming an Outdoors Woman trips (19 and 12 people each) and we stayed here for several days. I love the fact that this resort is owned and staffed by local people - the Tut... More

Just returned from a truly extraordinary birding expedition that included a stay at the Crystal Paradise Resort. After a prior bad experience with another so-called birding tour in another country, there was doubt whether Birding in Belize would live up to expectations. It did so and then some. In all, we saw 215 of Belize's 585 reported bird species, including... More
