Stayed for 3 nights - great position by river. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Its an ecolodge - so plenty of bugs about and the night safari is well worth it. The top attrraction is the trip to ATM cave - do it!

We stayed at Black Rock Lodge in the river front suite for three nights in August. We had a porch with two hammocks overlooking the river and jungle. The room was large and very comfortable. When we first arrived, it was very hot and I was nervous because the room does not have AC. But the room cools down quite... More

Black Rock Lodge was an amazing experience! We were greeted at the Belize International Airport by kind & friendly Victor, who drove us the 3 1/2 hour drive to Black Rock Lodge. We were greeted with complimentary cold beer & rum punch drinks and immediately sensed the warm, friendly hospitality of the Black Rock Lodge, which prevailed the entire 4... More

Black Rock inspired me to write my first review for Tripadvisor, because it is special and unique. Everything you read in these reviews is true. The entire staff enjoys what they are doing and a big part of what they do is making the time the quests spend their enjoyable, whether it is hiking, birding or tubing around the lodge... More

We recently stayed here for three nights while in San Ignacio, From the second we showed up we were treated like royalty. They emailed us a few days before arriving to ask when in the day we would be showing up. Once we arrived, they greeted us by name and gave us a cold beer and rum punch (complimentary). It... More

My husband and I spent four nights here this month and had an incredible time. Thanks again to TripAdvisor for directing us to the right place! The staff was wonderful and kind, from the grounds staff to the managers to the restaurant staff. They're happy to help you with whatever activity you want to do, and they're full of information... Black Rock Lodge We stayed at 3 different resorts while in Belize: Black Rock Lodge, Ian Anderson's Caves Branch and Coco Beach Resort and this one was our favorite. Albeit by a VERY small margin because the other three were also exceptional, but the thing we liked best about this was the non-touristy feel. We're not big into being fine... More

What can I say about black rock? My fiancee and I stayed here for a week, and it was the best experience of my life. The staff was helpful, present, always willing to make sure you had everything you need, answer any questions, they became our family away from home. It's a ways out from San Ignacio, a plus if... My fiance and I just spent eight magical nights at black rock. We're on the other end of Belize now, but we actually feel homesick for this magical place. From the second we checked in, we received personalized service in all aspects. The staff is incredible from the grounds to the restaurant to the supervisory team to housekeeping to everyone... More

We only got to spend a week in belize and this was by far the most enjoyable part. Petra was a fantastic host, the pictures on the website do not do it justice. From the moment we got there we were greeted with cocktails and then advised to go jump off the rope swing into the natural river that runs... More
