We don't often write reviews - Black Rock compels one. It is a magical place. The Lodge is in the jungle, quiet and full of birds. The guides at the lodge were always there to tell us about the birds we were seeing or the history of the country. They were all so excellent! We can't say enough about the... More

From the moment we were picked up at the airport we knew we were in for a treat. The guide was very knowledgeable and engaging - for adults and children alike. Once at black rock we were awestruck. The 'mountains' (we are from uk) the river, the rapids, the lack of train/plane/car noise We had great fun, swimming in the river, relaxing... More

The bumpy road leading up to the lodge makes you wonder what you're in for, but once you arrive at the lodge you immediately fall in love. Almost every room has a great view. My husband and I stayed in the Waterfall Deluxe Room and it was perfect. There's so much to do around the lodge activity-wise, but it's also... More

This was the highlight of our trip to Belize. My wife and I found the service to be the best of any hotel we have stayed in anywhere. The first morning we were there, the staff tolds us a tire on our car was going flat and they put the spare on for us. That night they told us they... More

This place is magical. We visited during rainy season and got a great deal. Stayed in one of the waterfall cabanas. Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing. Every staff member was great - especially liked the two guys who tended bar and served meals. Meals were excellent and fun - we met a lot of interesting people at dinner. I wish we could... More

Brought them out of the kitchen to give them a round of applause! Reglio, Hendery and Luis are awesome and ensure that every guest is treated with care!... More

Stayed for 3 nights - great position by river. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Its an ecolodge - so plenty of bugs about and the night safari is well worth it. The top attrraction is the trip to ATM cave - do it!

Black Rock is located across the Macal river from protected jungle. The staff and guides love the lodge and it shows in everything they do. We were fortunate enough to have Carlos and Fernando to take us hiking and canoeing. It was an honour to spend time with Jorge. The management Genny and Giovanni made sure our stay was everything... We stayed at Black Rock Lodge in the river front suite for three nights in August. We had a porch with two hammocks overlooking the river and jungle. The room was large and very comfortable. When we first arrived, it was very hot and I was nervous because the room does not have AC. But the room cools down quite... More

Black Rock Lodge was an amazing experience! We were greeted at the Belize International Airport by kind & friendly Victor, who drove us the 3 1/2 hour drive to Black Rock Lodge. We were greeted with complimentary cold beer & rum punch drinks and immediately sensed the warm, friendly hospitality of the Black Rock Lodge, which prevailed the entire 4... More
