Black Rock Lodge is truely God created. From the moment you are picked up in Belize City to the end of your stay, you are treated with care and kindess from all of the staff as well as the owners. The food at Black Rock Lodge is made from scratch each meal and is simply wonderful. The Lodge is beautiful... more

After spending 5 nights in San Pedro, we moved on to 5 nights at Black Rock during the first week of May. All I can say is that pictures really don't do this place justice. The location is stunning, as are many of the cabins. We were in cabin 12 and loved it, in particular the amazing deck overlooking the... more

Our visit here started off on a very sad note due to the serious illness / death of a family member. So, our first comments are in appreciation for two staff members in particular at Black Rock Lodge. Nadia, at the reception desk, showed the highest compasion and professionalism when she assisted us with all of our phone calls back... more

We stayed at Black Rock for only one night. We should have stayed 2 or 3. We got upgraded into a beautiful River View room. The river is great for swimming, there are at least 2 excellent hikes to the summit and to Vaca Falls. We stayed in Belize for one month and this was the pick of the bunch... more

This place is beautiful! A lot of reviews say that it is a long rough road to get to the lodge, but I didn't think so. It was only about six miles from town and we drove it many times in and out. Actually the drive in is breathtaking especially in the early morning and evening and many birds hang... more

This is one of the best places I have been to - our family (husband and wife and two young kids 8 years and 6 years) loved it. Location is the best Service is good. Food is good (mainly driven by the fact isn't reasonably priced) The staff are extremely professional - well trained in giving great customer service -... more

My best friend and I came to Belize looking for a jungle experience and we found it at the Black Rock Lodge! This hotel is definitely in the jungle complete with howler monkeys whooping on the other side of the Macal River, owls, toucans and so much natural beauty. Our cabin had a private deck that over looked the river... more

We loved this lodge. Really in the forest- no manicured lawns- just the natural beauty. Adequate amenities, wonderful staff. Food was delicious, healthy and appropriately portioned. Great birding...Bumpy road in was worth the 20-25 minute trip. more

Rarely does any accommodation exceed my expectations. Black Rock Lodge is an amazing hideaway at the end of a bumpy dirt road that makes the adventure worthwhile. The grounds at the lodge are peaceful & well-maintained with each cabin nestled into the natural surroundings. The Waterfall Deluxe (#15) is the newest & most secluded cabin situated closest to the rushing... more

My family and stayed at Black Rock during the week of Christmas. Cameron, Kelley, Javoni, Stefan and the rest of the wonderful staff bent over backwards to make our trip one of the best family trips we have had. The cabins were comfortable, the food was delicious and the setting perfect. We enjoyed our stay in the jungle way more... more
