I have to apologize for the delay in writing this review, because visiting Blancaneaux was one of the most amazing trips of my life. From the moment we drove through the front gates, I felt at ease. The staff could not be friendlier or more accommodating and the setting in the Pine Ridge Mountains speaks for itself. We took advantage... more

I waited to write this review so I could be sure that the high I experienced on my trip to Belize had subsided and I could actually be impartial. First things first, Belize in September, the rainy season, was spectacular. While we did have rain it did not in any way inhibit or diminish our trip experience. Look for my... more

My friend and I stayed at Blancaneaux Lodge Sept. 10-13, 2009 for my 30th birthday. We originally planned to stay at another property but it closed for several weeks due to low bookings. I’m glad we ended up at Blancaneaux. We opted to drive from Belize City to the Cayo District, which was an adventure. Don’t take the short cut... more

My husband and I spent four nights at Blancaneaux in September, the rainy season in Belize. We knew that the weather wouldn't be perfect--there was some rain almost every day, and little direct sun. What we didn't know was that the unpredictable weather wouldn't matter in the least in terms of enjoying ourselves. Blancaneaux is absolutely gorgeous--the cabanas are all... more

My wife and I stayed at Blanceneaux for 3 nights in early July 2009. Blanceneuax is a collection of high end cabana's, located in the pine mountain reserve (or what's left of it, more on that later). The resort is about 45-60 minutes off the western highway, nestled nicely in a small valley with a small river, some pools/small falls,... more

We spent a full week at Blancaneaux resort in June and apart from flying insects that occasionally landed on our deet-treated arms, had no complaints of note. Terrific service, beautiful grounds and the Privassion Creek nearby for cooling swims. Food in the dining room was average. The manager for Coppola's resorts told us that they had hired a new chef... more

We went to Blancaneaux for the second phase of our honeymoon. Because of a recent storm, land travel was a little more difficult, so we decided to charter flights from Turtle Inn to Blancaneaux and from Blancaneuax to Ambergris Caye. If you save a little extra to pay for the flights, this is absolutely the way to go. It saves... more

this is the best hotel/lodge we have ever stayed in. The setting in the jungle is magnificent with views across the river; the tress are not as lush as they once were because they have been attacked by beetles but even so it is beautiful. The cabanas are fantastically designed so that when you lie in bed you look out... more

This hotel is trading on the Francis Ford Coppola name. It is horrifically expensive and stuck an hour's drive up one of the worst roads I've been on. You are therefore held captive regarding eating and drinking. The rooms were fine with some nice little touches like candles alight when you returned from supper but the service was erratic (requested... more

Our family was here for 4 days and rented 2 of the two-bedroom villas. Everything was really nice. Its pretty remote but I knew that going into it and was looking forward to the escape. The service was great with the exception of the restaurant which I found to be extremely slow, even when just ordering the complimentary continental breakfast... more
