A little over midway through a two-week backpacking trek around Mexico, Guatemala and Belize, we were pretty worn out and heavily contemplating scratching San Ignacio all together and extending our stay in Tulum. They say things happen for a reason, that poorly hatched plan didn't work out and we (as originally planned) spent two days in San Ignacio. As the... More

We were in this region to visit Mayan ruins and needed a place sleep. Good enough reviews on TripAdvisor for me to commit to 2 nights. Next time, i will stay else where. Staff was friendly, yet hard to find. Room was fine, air-conditioning worked great (critical). Bathroom was fine except that the electricity to power the instant heat was... More

Shamera had a driver waiting for us at BZE. She arranged our ATM cave tour, and offered her personal mobile number for any other issues that might come up. Clean, spacious and air-conditioned rooms. Short walk to town, and a great roof top terrace. Would definitely stay here again.

We didn't know much about Cayo before we booked so were marginally concerned it might be a bit far out. Not the case, its very close to Hannah's (surely the best restautant in town) and a very reasonable breakfast booth. You get lovely views from their rooftop terrace, and you are moments from the city centre. Rooms are nice and... More

The room was a little distressed and rough around the edges but suitable for us for the short while. It had two big beds which was nice. It had air con, a fridge and an iron. The housekeeping staff tried to make up our room twice before 11.30am despite me telling them that we were checking out today and they... More

Me and my partner stayed here for three nights a couple of weeks ago. From the outside it's not much to look at but all the rooms are super clean and well looked after. We stayed in the "apartment" room. We had a very spacious room with a good air conditioner AND and fully functioning kitchen (if we stayed longer... More

First impression was good as the owner Shamera picked me up at the airport. It was pricey for Belize but not to the extent the typical Belize airport taxi rackets take you to the cleaners. I was there for 3 days and Shamera told me she was taking the rest of the day off but otherwise be there. That turned... More

This hotel is a good bet. The prices are very decent for what you get, really. It's well located on a hilltop, near the main road (a pedestrian street where you'll find some restaurants and bars). Shamera (the owner/receptionist) will surprise you with all the answers to all your questions. She was probably the most informative, smart and kind person... More

Very nice place to stay. The price was very good for the room I got. Wifi worked perfectly and the center of San Ignacio is just 2 min walking downhill. Perfect place for 1 or 2 nights, on the way to Flores.

OK, the furniture will not win prices. We stayed at room 1, maybe one nice picture on the wall and matching covers on the bed would make a difference. But: everything was OK and working. We had a fan and good airco, hot water and good pressure, working cable tv and if I wanted to I could have ironed my... More
