My husband and I live in Belize. We chose MH as our choice to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is situated in a lovely location and is a unique and truly beautiful work of architecture and interior design. The staff are very attentive and calmly friendly. There is a sweet pool to cool off just off the nicely landscaped patio.... More

It is not often I will rate a location as 5 stars, but MH gets our vote. My wife and I are from Florida and we typically stay in San Pedro when we come, though I have explored most of the mainland over the years on my own. This trip, we took a couple with us and decided to explore... More

This is one of the sweetest hotels in all of Belize. The rooms were tastefully done, the bed - one of the best I have ever slept in, the food delicious, the staff outstanding and friendly, and most importantly, a beautiful location. The views of the river were so peaceful and watching the birds and animals - very special. Totally... More

It is an antique looking mansion with tasteful furnishing and simple wooden staircase . Everything is deceivingly simple , so that nothing is pretentious but just a good quality. I would change the blankets but it is my personal taste. The service is unassuming , but perfect. The setting is the best I have ever seen. The food is organic.... More

Mahogany Hall is a gem in the middle of heaven! My husband and I were a little nervous to spend time in San Ignacio, wanting instead to be on the Caye's the whole trip... But after just one afternoon we never wanted to leave. The staff here is fantastic. Jonathan who owns it was so sweet and accommodating and helped... More

The family that runs this resort is what make it such a nice place, Chris cooks, Jonathan manages. They made us very welcome. Jonathan took us on a tour of Cahal Pech ruins. They arranged a massage for me while my partner went tubing on the river with Jonathan. We loved it! Would go back, always the true test. Staff... More

★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars. My girlfriend and I travel A LOT. Central America, the Carribean and throughout Europe. In our travels we are hard pressed to name a resort experience that was much better than that in which we had at Mahogany Hall. The setting is quiet and remote on a lovely river bed. The water is so... More

Driving into Mahagony Hall, I wasn't sure what to expect as its down a dirt road and pretty remote. I have to say it was a great experience. My kids, husband and I all enjoyed the river and tubing with all the people who come out to enjoy the river. There was always a nice breeze and we enjoyed some... More

Stayed one night. Nice property located in Bullet Tree village on the river. The river was very high and rapid waters and muddy shores. The lounge chairs by the river were not accessible. A car would be helpful. The hotel is a few minutes drive outside of San Ignacio. Lots of dark, stained wood. Room was very dark. Windows were... More

We were greeted by Jonathan the Manager at the resort. Welcomed with a cool mint scented facecloth, and a cocktail. We sat at the most beautiful mahogany bar while being told about the hotel and facilities. We were told if there was anything we needed just ask and if there is anything that could be improved please mention it. Our... More
