Our four night stay while in the Cayo District was amazing as we were surrounded by the Belizean jungle in one of the two cabins at Moonracer. It is several miles off the main highway on an uneven dirt road so our 4-wheel drive we rented was put to very good use. We arrived later than scheduled in the night... More

So much has already been said about Moonracer Farm, but I have to add a few more comments, because we loved it so much! We stayed 5 nights, left feeling like family, and missed Janeth's cooking for the rest of our trip. Communication, tour arrangements and payment all easy and efficient. Farm grounds, dining area, food, setting just fantastic. The... More

We stayed in this lodge for 5 nights at the end of april 2014. The place is very nice , you are in contact with the nature and it is fantastic. the lodge is owned by a couple of Americans and run by a belizean Family. You are in contact by mail with the owners (Tom and Marge) for reservations... More

Moonracer is hard place to review—mainly because the owners and operators put so much of themselves into the place and make sure their guests are fully taken care of that it's hard to criticize a thing. As others have mentioned, it's a lot like a home stay experience. When we were there, we ate all our meals with Julio and... More

It's no wonder that Moonracer Farm receives such consistently excellent reviews. Every aspect of our experience with it -- beginning with Marge's informative emails -- exceeded expectations, notwithstanding how high previous reviewers had set the bar. Every moment of our two nights and days there was absolutely delightful. Even though we arrived past midnight -- three hours later than expected... More

We miss Moonracer Farm already! My husband and I stayed at Moonracer for 4 nights and we absolutely loved it. Every part of the experience - from booking, arranging activities, accommodations, meals - was handled with such personal care by Tom, Marge, Julio and Janeth. They really make you feel like a treasured guest and friend. For those concerned about... More

We spent eight great nights at Moonracer. We rented an SUV to tour the area, with Moonracer as our “home away from home.” Julio and Janeth and their kids were wonderful hosts. It was much like a homestay experience. We enjoyed the great meals, usually breakfast and dinner. But wow Janeth packs a great lunch for picnics. Sometimes chilly due... More

Overall, we had a nice stay at Moonracer Farms. The grounds are very well kept, everything is very quiet, and Julio and Janet's hospitality was outstanding. We rented a car in Belize City and drove ourselves to Moonracer. Our group had 4 people, so we rented the entire cabin, which was nice to have the place to ourselves. We stayed... More

Overall, we had a great stay at Moonracer Farm. The place is quiet and quaint. The fact that there is no electricity was a charming draw for us, and surprisingly hardly noticed. The location was great and the food and hospitality were outstanding. We rented a 4x4 Jeep in Belize City and drove ourselves out to San Ignacio. It was... More

Believe it or not, we really appreciate this review. A lot...thank you! We also offer our apologies that your stay was disrupted and was less than you anticipated, and that it wasn't what we like to promise our guests. For quite a while, we have had an unwritten policy that families are required to rent the entire cabin. However, in... More

My husband and I stayed at Moonracer Farms almost a year ago, but did not have a chance to write a review right afterward because of unexpected and serious illness (not at all related to our trip!). However, today I was thinking back on our time in Belize and I just ached for it – it almost made my heart... More
