The barking of the dog last all day and night, I was not the only guest that complained. I feel like the owners may right their own reviews on trip advisor as well. It is scored really highly for what it is. Good luck

This is a hostel like atmosphere, Super friendly owners. I stayed here for four nights and I would stay here again. The only draw backs are thin walls with alarms starting around 5:30am and limited hot water.

Price: BZ$40 for a double, one bed with private bath, BZ$50 for a double, two beds with private bath
Review: This place was a lovely set of two big houses right in the center of town for a great price. The room was freshly cleaned and had good ventilation plus a ceiling fan so it cooled off pretty well. Hot...

I have to say I disagree with the low rating for this hotel. Service was good, rooms were very large with a private bathroom, and even a nice balcony where you can enjoy your evening Belikin beer while reminiscing the day's adventures and looking down at the city life below. Location is great, within a 1 minute walk to just...

We used San Ignacio as a center to go out and do some excursions. This was a perfect little hotel for that. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We loved sitting out on the small deck area that wraps around the perimeter of the upper rooms. This is where everyone met at the end of the day to...

When booking a tour in San Ignacio, we were advised to stay in Hi-et, sounding like Hyatt, but definately more budget ;-). We did stay there and like it ... a lot. Cheap no frills place, nice welcoming family, good accomodation, warm water and a fan. Recommend it!!

Cheapest hotel in town, bedrooms look really old, and divided among themselves by wooden ¨walls¨. As a result, you can clearly hear the guest next door snoring (I'm happy he was alone and not with his missus). Old ceiling fans that don't work, doors with no lock (you get a padlock to close the door while you're out). To complete,...

We stayed 10 days at the Hi-Et while in the process of moving to San Ignacio, the price was affordable for that amount of time and we had seen the outside of the hotel and thought it looked nice.
We made our reservations over Skype, from the States, and I didn't expect anyone to have any idea who we were...

After a disappointing night in Elvira's, we discovered the Hi-et, which, for a few dollars more, gave us a private bathroom and a much better quality room. A double room cost us $25.
The Hi-et is a family-run hotel in a colonial style house. To get to the rooms you have to walk through the house, past the kitchen and...
