We stayed 10 days at the Hi-Et while in the process of moving to San Ignacio, the price was affordable for that amount of time and we had seen the outside of the hotel and thought it looked nice. After a disappointing night in Elvira's, we discovered the Hi-et, which, for a few dollars more, gave us a private bathroom and a much better quality room. A double room cost us $25.
