We stopped in San Ignacio mainly as a couple nights in between Caye Caulker and Flores and found this lovely place by chance. $30 bz for a double room that has a fan and small balcony. The room and shared bathroom were both nice and clean and the owners were friendly. We did break a bed just by sitting on... More

We only stayed one night but were happy with the place given the price (in Belize!!). Room could do with a makeover but quiet and clean with nice balcony to enjoy a Belikin. Friendly owners and just step outside to get a well priced collective to the border. Would stay again.

We just stayed for one night here on our way to Guatemala. The room was small but we had a little balcony which was nice. It's just a short walk from the bus station so no problems there. You can also catch a collective taxi outside for 5$ each to the border. Your basically living above the families house so... More

I stayed in the Hi-Et in 2001 and again in 2012. Both times, I absolutely loved it, to stay in a wooden house, with lovely owners, it is simple but very atmospheric. And, it had not changed at all in 10 years, which in my opinion is a great thing!

We're currently staying here and absolutely love it. Our room is small and the bathroom is not private, but everything is clean and we even have our own small balcony. Plus it's cheap compared to similar options here in San Ignacio and the people here are friendly. We're paying 30 BZ$ for our double room and couldn't be happier! Great... More

Stayed here for 2 days in a private room with shared bathroom. The place is clean, safe, location is great, and the value is great. If you are not looking for something luxurious and are a traveler more than a vacationer then this is the place to go.

It may be a bit loud, but it is right in the heart of the city. Everything is walk-able. It was easy to find. Bedroom was a bit small but it was just myself and it was nice having a queen bed. Bathroom was a bit cramped, not very wide. But the price was great $25 BZ so I was... More

My partner and I stayed here after arriving in San Ignacio late in the evening. We were looking for a place to stay and were told of Hi-et. First impressions were ok as you are in someones livingroom however once we got upstairs and looked around our room we were very disappointed. We were in the room which overlooked the... More

Cute, cheap place with clean rooms and your own little balcony but it's right on the street so a little noisy. The big downside is the DJ decks set up across the road blasting rap non-stop from 7:30am until 1am every day. I dont know who they are or why they are there. It wont stop.
