There aren't too many hotel options in Belmopan so I suppose Yim Saan isn't so bad even though it reminds me of a motel 8. The rooms were reasonably clean and the A/C works fine. The beds were a bit uncomfortable. The hotel is relatively new. We paid $55 USD/night for 2 double beds with private bathroom and private balcony.... more

We decided to spend a couple of night in Belmopan so we could do cave tubing with Ian Anderson's Jungle Lodge. We were at the end of our week in Belize, and were driving from Placencia back to the airport in Belize City. We had a morning flight and did not want to make that long drive so early. We decided Belmopan was about half way so thought it was wise to stay the night there and head to the airport... more
