We are not world travelers, for the most part Carribean/Bahamas for diving. We were looking to broaden our horizons and along with diving (will review that place) we wanted a Belize jungle experience. I did a lot of research and chose Ian Anderson's Caves Branch Jungle Lodge. Deciding on a trip like this in that part of the world can... More

If you are into adventure or a relaxing stay surrounded by tropical flowers this is the place. Between the aroma of freshly made soap, curing cheeses, tropical flowers and the kitchen, you just want to keep wandering around on the pathways to take it all in. A very unique property with so much to see and do! Make sure you... More

OMG i loved this place. Larry, Lisa, Anthony, Darrel, Gina, Robert and the rest of the staff knew my name, my room number, my problems (lost passport & ID), my food preferences . . . friendly, down-to-earth, fun people. Larry was particularly attentive and responsible. Service is prompt: toilet leaking? Fixed in 5 minutes. Room change needed? Done. Sick? Doctor... More

Everything about Caves Branch was amazing. The canopy treehouse was not only beautiful, it was an adventure in itself. Hearing the wildlife at night and feeling like you were part of the jungle was an experience. The staff and food were excellent, we really enjoyed the community meals. The adventures were well staffed and exciting. We did the black hole... More

Adventures were awesome! Hard not to be awesome in Belize. Rooms, good - got attacked by bugs one night (don't let them fool you, the screens in your rooms don't keep anything out! so be prepared) Food was good. Organized, yummy. MANAGEMENT - OMG, shoot me! They triple charged us and are now not responding, I have to fight with... More

The people here were marvellous characters and great professionals from the extrovert head of dining (Anthony), the sergeant-major who organised the details (Lisa), ever-smiling Jessica, and brilliant guides/experts in jungle lore, bird watching, Mayan history etc. And how long before someone writes a story about the life of the Botanic Garden manager - fact is much more interesting than fiction... My sister and I stayed at Caves Branch after leaving the beach. We were a little aprehensive about finding two wonderful hoels on one trip, especially since the first resort was so posh (see Part 1 at Almond Beach) but all I can say is our fears were unfounded. We were picked up by Enrique and from the moment we... More

My husband and I had the best time at Caves Branch!!! He is an archaeologist who has done extensive work in Belize and even at Caves Branch 10-12 years ago, so he insisted that we go there. We were originally supposed to go for our honeymoon in July of 2014, but I broke my ankle two days after the wedding... More

I cant say enough about Ian Anderson's Caves Branch! The staff are amazing and so friendly!! Lisa, Anthony, Daniel, Jessica, and Veronica were wonderful! The accommodations were very nice and clean, loved the soaps that were provided in the rooms and the adorable towel animals! :) Breakfast and dinner consisted of a buffet and was great, no complaints, the food... I actually visited in May 2014, and used the reviews from this site, but didn't register myself until May 2015. Went with my 19 year old son, and talk about an adventure vacation!!! I definitely underestimated my skill level, as 3 of our excursions were rated 5 out of 5 for difficulty. BUT I DID IT AND PROUD OF IT... More
