Really enjoyed our 4 days at Pook's Hill. Vicki is a wonderful host, the grounds and huts were lovely, the food was great. Really felt like you were away from it all. Loved the communal breakfasts/dinners as you got to know your fellow travellers....and loved the honour system for the bar! It's a bit of a rough road coming in... More

After a long day visiting ruins and travelling down from Corozal arriving at Pooks Hill was wonderful. Such a warm friendly welcome and an amazing spot we thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay here. The huts are really well designed and very comfortable too. Great atmosphere at the bar and amazing food too. The guided jungle walks are a must!

Spent 4 nights at Pook’s Hill Lodge. It’s a special place. Reminded me of being at summer camp as a kid – but that certainly wasn’t in a jungle. Out of the city, in the quiet of nature, only the sounds of nature. And there were no electric lights at summer camp, so it was all lamps, like the Pook’s... More

I stayed here in 2011 and was in awe the whole time. The huts are unique as is the main building where you eat and upstairs where you relax in the evening. Pooks Hills is in a good location, centralized to all the stuff my group went to see. The cave with the skeletons was about a hour minute walk.... More

This was my third stay at Pook's Hill, and I'm sure it won't be my last. It's still unique and wonderful after all these years, and still feels like coming to visit with friends. Here you are treated as family, not as a client or tip-dispenser. Want a beer or coke? Get it yourself from the bar, day or night.... More

Pook's HIll truly made our trip to Belize memorable. It's a two hour drive from the airport, but it's well worth the "off roading" to get there. Pook's is nestled in the foothills of the Tapir Mountains, far off the main road so all you hear is the wildlife around you. During our 5 day stay we saw Howler monkeys... More

We spent our first three nights in Belize at the pooks hill lodge. They picked us up from the airport. The hospitality was great, we were greeted with drinks. Our cabin say above a site of Mayan ruins. They are the closest tour to Actun Tunichil Muknal. We departed at 7am and were the first group into the cave. There... More

I just spent a very productive morning spotting birds with Mario, a guide at Pook’s Hill Lodge in Belize. Man, did we see birds. And I’m not even counting the scores of parrots that flew by in pairs I am talking a pale-billed woodpecker, hooded oriole, black-headed trogon, slaty-tailed trogon, roadside hawk, the various grosbeaks, white collared finch, the yellow-winged... Pooks Resort is a very well-run, environmentally-conscious, friendly resort in a great location, near to or in a national part. It’s great for those want to go to MTV or the Mayan ruins in Guatemala, trips that the resort can arrange. We were met at the airport by Lucky who showed us to his clean, comfortable van. He offered to... More

We really enjoyed our time at the quaint Pook’s Hill Lodge. The food was good, people great, and the time in the jungle was like no other. I chose Pook’s Hill because of its proximity to the ATM cave. What a great choice! The Pook’s Hill ATM tour will always be the first in the cave - and yes, it... More
