Quite a challenge to get there. Find your way to Teakettle, Belize and they can pick you up but we drove the five and a half mile challenging road and it was so worth the trip. We stayed in the jungle/rain forest in a beautiful nature resort-like setting. Thatched roofs over wonderful accommodations. Great, friendly people willing to help in... More

We really liked POOK'S- rooms were nice. We had two adjacent ones, with kids on one side, grown-ups on the other. I wish we had been told that hot water is made available in the AFTERNOONS though! we had some rough morning showers before we figured that out. Though I respect that they make the water from fires using salvaged... More

Pook’s is a wonderful B&B, off the beaten path, with a relaxing atmosphere. This is absolutely the place to stay if you want to see the ATM Caves (see below). We spent 2 nights in a bird cabana in mid-December. There are 2 bird cabanas, each with their own outside deck, which are set away from the main lodge across... More

We discovered Pook's Hill online several months prior and were immediately sold because of its close proximity to ATM (Actun Tunichil Muknal). The husband and I booked the 4 night Adventure package with a standard cabana. After spending the first half of our honeymoon on the beach, we made our way into the jungle. Mike picked us up from the... More

We didn't see Puck at Pooks Hill, but we did see toucans, parrots, humming birds, hawks, trogans and many other varieties of birds. We loved our four night stay at this charming, friendly, intimate lodge, built around an ancient Mayan settlement. The owner, Vicki, is still bubbling with enthusiasm after 30 years, and our bird guide Mike not only opened... More

Pook's Hill is an incredible place...beautiful, fascinating, and great base for exploration. I could have spent a week just sitting at the bar watching the nectar-eating bats visit the hummingbird feeders. Vicki and her staff are tremendously knowledgeable about the jungle around them, and the combination of the setting and the service is unbeatable...and then there's the food. Every meal... More

This place is just a dream come true! We spent the first three nights of our honeymoon here and we are so glad we did. It was hard to leave! Mario picked us up at the airport and joined us for our first Belizean meal. He was such a treat to be around - we also enjoyed bird watching and... More

Everything about this place was perfect. Johan and Rebecca we're very kind and welcomed us very warmly. The owner (I can't remember her name) was fun to be around, she has lots of cool stories and made for a friendly environment. Mario was an amazing tour guide, he took us to Xuantunich on a day trip and was extremely knowledgable... More

I can't say enough nice things about Pook's HIll Lodge. We spent two magical nights here. Mario picked us up in Belize City and was our trusted tour guide. Our hut was super nice, clean, comfortable, and close to the common areas. We found everyone (the owner, staff and visitors) to be super friendly. We really enjoyed the family style... More
