We had the delightful opportunity of staying at Banana Bank Lodge for one week. The unique and artistically-decorated accommodations were clean and comfortable and ranged from jungle cabanas to air-conditioned motel-style rooms. Our family of six used both and everyone was pleased. If we had any issues, the staff addressed them promptly and efficiently when brought to their attention. The... More

Stayed here a while ago with a group. We could not wait to leave for the reasons mentioned by other reviewers here: dated, damp, buggy rooms and a general atmosphere of decay and disrepair. I could not forget the sad faces of the horses (including the one the owner brought into the dining room as some kind of display of... More

My daughter and I spent a week at Banana Bank Lodge in April 2013 with the primary interest being riding together. We are both experienced riders and the choice of horses for us was very well matched. The staff was attentive, very friendly and the "family" atmosphere was truly welcoming. It is a delightful combination of an 'away from it... More

The location is nice, and the pool is pretty nice..however if you get a cabana, beware of the bugs coming from the bathroom. They arent sealed off in some spots and some of the rooms are at ground level. I invited the spiders to stay in my room to take care of the mosquitos and other things that wanted to... More

This was a quiet and beautiful setting and a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle and commercialism and enjoy nature with a nice balance of rustic jungle living with modern conveniences and beautiful pool and rooms

Our team stayed at Banana Bank after a two week mission trip to relax and decompress. It was glorious. After passing by fields of sorghum and corn we slowed down as we were sharing the road with horses who were very comfortable with us. We were shown to our rooms by a lovely staff member and she was very pleased... More

We just returned from a two night stay at Banana Bank. First, the positives: The owners and staff are lovely people. Tika the jaguar is beautiful as are the captive birds. Tika and the birds are well cared for and in large, comfortable enclosures. The food served was wholesome and delicious. Isaiah was a great server. We went on a... More

We enjoyed a cool jungle atmosphere, an authentic Belize experience, a beautiful pool, hot water with good water pressure, and fantastic family style meals! It's a perfect place for groups, and we would stay there again! Bring a flashlight if you plan to walk around at night, but the star gassing will be worth it.

We stayed a few days at Banana Bank Lodge. The lodge sits in the middle of a large track of land that is lush with tropical folliage and some large beautiful trees. There is an orchid area, a river, a beautiful pool, an aviary and a Jaguar (really) who is in a large enclosed area. Their main activity is horse... More
