My husband and I spent one night at Banana Bank as part of a group tour. The grounds are lovely, very scenic and it's great to watch the horses run free. The rooms were clean and very interestingly decorated but ours was very dark which in the heat of the summer is probably a good thing. Glen took us all... more

This was my third visit to Banana Bank Lodge and I was not disappointed. After the big flood of Oct '08, I expected some problems, but everything was up and running. The Carrs are excellent hosts, and their staff are beyond compare. Several have told me that, thanks to the Carrs, they have decided to finish high school, maybe even... more

My family of five (kids aged 13, 11 and 8) was looking for a place to stay in Cayo district after a week on the beach staying with a friend in Placencia. We chose Banana Bank for the opportunity to do a jungle horseback ride and for the size of the cabanas. We stayed two nights and found the staff... more

After staying in Camp Casitas in Chaa Creek for four days, our group of six adults and 4 children were looking forward to staying in a more "upscale" environment. Big mistake. Chaa Creek tents were five start accommodations compared to Banana Bank. The place was not kept up. (dirty sheets, chipping paint, dogs roaming everywhere). In fact, it was filthy.... more

I just got back from Banana Bank and was totally amazed at everything. There were 3 girls that went and we felt totally safe! The team that runs the resort are so friendly (luv ya Isiah) and full of great information (thanks Albert)!! I do not ride horses but had a great time with Cesar. He took me on this... more

What a lovely place! The husband and wife team are very welcoming and helpful. I haven't had better lemonade than this place! It's such a refresher after all the activities that are available. The only problem we encountered was the low water pressure in the shower. Other than that, a lovely and memorable stay at Banana Bank! more

You could spend a lot of time there, using it as a base for seeing caves, ruins, and riding (as some of the other guests we talked to had done). It is very centrally located, about 2 hours from the airport. We stayed only one night, and had a fine time. There is a nice pool, a beautiful garden, a... more

We stayed for 4 days and 5 nights and had a wonderful experience. We found it the perfect place to use as a home base to explore the area around Belmopan and San Ignacio. You really must plan your days around the various excursions to get the total experience (we did ATM, Tikal, Caves Branch, and one day spent horse... more

We stayed at Banana Bank for 4 nights. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are very nice. The food was great (family style not a menu). The fairly new pool is a great place to spend the really hot afternoons. All in all a very nice place but what really stuck out for me was the people. We met the... more

My wife and I stayed at the Banana Bank Lodge for a week. We booked the adventurer package which let us do virtually any thing BBL offered. It was nice in that we did not have to worry about costs or keeping ourselves entertained. We were on the go for a full week. The best thing about BBL is the... more
