We stayed at the Sleeping Giant Lodge for the second leg of our Beach/Jungle Combo honeymoon (beach part was at Villa Margarita in Hopkins). The resort and grounds are gorgeous and our Spanish Casita was in perfect condition. The room was beautiful and had a great porch that was private with a hammock. We also had an outdoor bathtub which... More

Upon arriving, we were treated like royalty and this treatment continued throughout our entire stay. The manager and staff were readily available and greeted us by name. The housekeeping staff did an extraordinary job taking care of our room while providing daily decorations. The room... WOW!!!! Seriously!? We walked in and we were blown away by the quality and cleanliness.... More

We stayed at the Sleeping Giant for the first 4 days of our honeymoon and then transferred to the Jaguar Reef for the last 4 days as part of the "Jungle/Beach" package offered through the website. We were absolutely spoiled at the Sleeping Giant!!!! The accommodations, food and amenities were unbelievable! We stayed in Casita # 4 and it was... More

Great trip. Everyone from management down to the maids did absolutely everything to make our stay spectacular. We got the "honeymoon" package just for the included excursions, but it also included nightly romantic additions to the room & romantic dining. The tours/ excursions were also very good with very friendly, helpful, knowledgable guides. Thanks for a great 2nd honeymoon.

We just returned from a Belize rainforest/beach trip. Half our time was spent here. The staff is fantastic. Eugene is a hospitality superstar. We had a Casita and the seclusion/privacy was perfect. Casitas are small "houses" with a private outdoor bath, a bathroom with a garden shower, a fantastic bed/living room and a private balcony with table and chairs.. This... More

Sleeping Giant is simply one of the best resorts we've stayed at in the world. The setting is gorgeous in the rainforest with amenities like the amazing pool and the excellent food in the restaurant. The casitas give you an authentic, private experience with tons of space for a family of four and the perfect blend of inside comfort and... More

We loved this country and this resort! My sister and I stayed at Sleeping Giant for 3 nights and couldn't be more satisfied with the service and accomodations. We stayed in the Garden View room that was below the bar area of the main building. I was very concerned about the noise level from the bar because I am such... More

This is going to be long, but well worth the read. If at all possible, try to book an all-inclusive; we didn't and our tab was quite hefty from food and excursions, BUT well worth it. We didn't do the beach/rainforest combo; we spent all five of our days in the rainforest at Sleeping Giant. It rained the first three... More

The lodge is great and the staff were wonderful. It was truly amazing. Recommend 100% We visited with our 6 and 8 year olds and they were in heaven with the hiking, the pool, kayaking on the river. The team helped us plan a private day trip to Tikal which was perfectly tailored to our speed and that of our... More
