There is no way the Bevis family could make Mountain Equestrian Trails any better than it already is. First, the horses, they are very will mannered and very responsive to commands. They are so sure-footed that one has to trust them on the steep trails going up or down mountains. The guides are wonderful at pointing out plants and telling... More

I stayed at MET for the first time after doing a lot of research on horseback riding adventures in the Belizean jungle and overall, I wasn't disppointed in the natural beauty of Belize nor was I disappointed in my primary riding guide, Rigo, but other frustrations abounded with the small, family run operation. First, immediately upon booking, I was overcharged... More

We are so thankful we chose to stay with the Bevis' over Christmas. Our seven-year daughter, Anam, misses Sierra, Alex, Poncho the horse and Ripley the dog, and mentions them all the time. I rediscovered my love of riding and Anam just blossomed on the horses - these are not plodding trail rides - we cantered, rode through challenging jungle... More

We recently visited the Cayo District and took a full day ride with our guide Rego to the Falls. This was a wonderful trip, Rego was a real pleasure to have with us and very knowledgeable about the plants and animals in the jungle. I will make sure that a similar trip is on our itinerary for our next visit... More

My first trip more than 100 miles from a U.S. border and I loved it. The owners of the MET have created a wonderful place to stay. The amenities just barely include electricity and internet, so if you simply must spend hours on your computer or phone each day, this is not the place for you. For the rest of... More

We did not stay here, but booked a 3 hour horseback riding excursion here for my three daughters and myself. The ride went through the jungle and they pointed out all the interesting plants and explained so much - it was beautiful and informative. We stopped at a stream and waterfall. I wish I could remember our guide's name, but... More

This is an amazing vacation, especially for the adventurous/unafraid. I cannot emphasize how much fun we had on our vacation, galloping full speed through the mountains and fields of belize, learning about the jungle around us, seeing some of the most exotic birds and butterflies in the world. The staff is so knowledgable and talented, with a special shout out... More

Had such a great adventurous stay at MET. Every day was something new and exciting. We went to Tikal in Guatemala, trecks on horseback in the jungle, kayaking through a cave swiming in a awesome river, and so much more. You'll also learn a lot, the guides are very helpful and knowledgeable. You never have to worry about food. They... More

MET will I ever get over you? My stay at MET was not a vacation so much as it was a resetting of my spirit and a cleansing of my soul. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place - it had a profound impact on me and I never wanted to leave. Everything was perfect and... More

You were good for my soul. It's always so rewarding to watch as people relax and "cleanse their souls" while seeing and experiencing new things every day. Thank you for your wonderful review. It means so much to all of us at MET. More

I can't say much that others haven't already said. We had a wonderful experience in every way. The riding, swimming, caves, visiting Maya ruins including Tikal in Guatemala, etc. were all very interesting and fun. The food was very good. The guides were all terrific and so very knowledgable on many subjects. Learning about their interesting lives was enjoyable and... More

Thank you for writing and thank you for choosing MET! I'm so happy you enjoyed the magic of dark quiet star-lit nights and the beauty of the dawn chorus as the birds awaken. I'm glad you appreciated the candle-lit ambiance. Sometimes its nice to turn everything off for just a little while. More
