I realize that this establishment has been highly rated by many Trip Advisor reviewers. I found it to be very overgrown and tired. Perhaps it was great several decades ago. First, though, I have to say that the staff was marvelous. Alfredo met us at the airport and was welcoming and an excellent ambassador. So was Arlette, who met us... More

Please do not come to the Orchid Garden Eco-Village Hotel expecting a bar, or wine service in our restaurant, or carefully manicured gardens, or modern decorated rooms. You won’t find those things here. In 2014, we carried out a remodeling and expansion of 6 of our bathrooms, we repainted all our rooms, and we changed all our ceiling lights to... More

The many favorable reviews on this site were a factor in our selecting this place for our last night in Belize. I am at a loss to understand how the place where we stayed was rated highly. The staff were all very pleasant and the dinner we enjoyed was pretty good. Know, however, that there is one set menu nightly.... More

We chose this property for our last night in Belize, thinking it was close to the airport (it's not) and that it would offer the usual amenities of a resort hotel, such as a bar and restaurant. There is no bar, and the restaurant consists of a large open room with a seated meal, family style, for all the guests... More

We chose this resort for our last day in Belize, after a 3 week tour of the country. Our choice was based on the proximity to the airport (30min.) We were welcomed very warmly even though we were the only guests. We had dinner and breakfast, and both were delicious meals. Our room was spacious and clean and the shower... More

Thank you for your comments and your proposals for change. We are sorry we didn't have a chance to show you the beauty of our Eco-Village, which has much to offer. Guests staying 2 nights with us are offered optional free guided tours that include bird-watching in our birding courtyard (where more than 80 species have been identified), a nature... More

Easy to organize p/u at airport. Alfredo was a great host orienting us to Belize, even helped us at the grocery store. The trip from the airport was at the most 20 minutes. Our room A6 was very spacious and directly across from the TV/library room. Couches were comfortable. Internet had a brief issue but Ms. Christine had it corrected... More

This is the perfect hotel to enjoy all that Belize has to offer. Their driver picks you up from the airport and takes you to a nearby convenience store so you can stock up on any water, snacks, or toiletries you might need before you get to the lodge. While the lodge itself is directly off of the main highway,... More

We stayed here upon our early evening arrival in Belize, as it was just about too late to get the water taxi to Caye Caulker where we would be most of our trip. What an unexpected and pleasurable experience. Amazing food, warm hospitality, beautiful scenery, and a great price. They helped us book a cavetubing tour and arranged all of... More

Stayed here on our first night in Belize. Very close to the airport. We were greeted immediately upon our arrival and shown incredible hospitality. We had a three course dinner served in a private dinning room that was delicious. The setting is beautiful and the hostess was lovely. I can't recommend this place enough for your first night in Belize... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here recently for three nights and four days, and had a really fabulous time. We were some of the only people staying there, and so the staff and the owner were particularly friendly and attentive to us--and very interested in making sure that we were enjoying our stay! The room was very nice: hot water... More

When driving a rental, this hotel is a great choice for the first night in Belize. It is close enough to reach before dark (December 4th) after a late afternoon plane arrival at BZE and you don't have to go through Belize City to get there! It was pouring down rain when we arrived and we were met in the... More
