The owners cannot be trusted to follow through with the guarantees made at the time of booking! If you choose to go to Glover's be wary of the money put down up front and be sure to keep track of your expenses as they are negligent in this arena. My husband and I planned a trip to Glover's Atoll a... more

*Remember this is our impression* We just stayed at the 'resort' on Glovers Atoll run by the Lamont family and would never go back. These are the reasons why: 1. It doesn't conform to the park rules e.g. illegal fishing & garbage dumping off the back side of the island. 2. The ECO part is a full on LIE!! There... more

I stayed on Glover's with a group of 6 others, one of us was a spearfisherman so we had fresh fish almost every night. We brought all of our food in and cooked some fantastic meals once we had boiled all the filthy cooking utensils. We had a great time snorkeling and kayaking but I would not go back to... more

I had recommended Glovers Atoll Resort highly to a friend who checked and told me that there were some very negative reviews on Trip Advisor.com. I looked and was stunned by some of the comments. I have stayed at here twice and have already booked a third trip for next year. I absolutely love this place, although I'll admit it... more

Most of the other reviews are all dead on if you read thru some of the emotion you will get the true picture. The short review is that if you are prepared and know what you are getting into this place can be amazing. First the Guest house in Sitte River is not very nice. Dirty, buggy, uninviting. I recommend... more

We chose Glovers Reef 'Resort' for our honeymoon as the website made the island look beautiful and secluded. We weren't looking for a particulary luxurious retreat - we just wanted a relaxing time away and to be looked after without having to worry about cooking/cleaning and planning. The composting toilets and shared shower facilities didn't really pose a problem -... more

We spent 6 nights at Glovers Atoll at the beginning of November '07., and we loved it., and would go back without hesitation. We had thoroughly reseached our trip and went prepared to self-cater for the entire time, taking all our food, beer and a cooler filled with ice. Our over the water cabin was great, and it was incredibly... more

My wife and I spent 5 days at Glover's Atoll Resort. While it is certainly not a "resort" in the traditional sense, we had a wonderful time there. This is a bare-bones, budget friendly campground on a fantastic little island in the middle of nowhere. Admittedly, if you decided to cut your trip short for any reason, arranging transport could... more

This "resort" is to be avoided by all travellers. Although it is in a visually stunning location, it is horribly run by abusive caretakers verbally abused and physically threatened me. In addition, the dive equipment is very poorly maintained and is therefore hazardous, the caretakers own a pack of 6-7 very large, semi-wild German Shepherds that have threatened and bit... more

I had to stay at Glover's guest house before I went out to dive on Glover's reef. It is cramped, very basic and very isolated. It's not cheap for what you get and I highly reccommend that you book your accommodation at the lovely Toucan Sittee next door. It's only 5 minutes away from Glover's guest house and the property... more
