I hate to give this recommendation because the owner of the Bachelor Inn was very sweet and accommodating. We showed up late at night so we didn't see any other travelers. We were VERY impressed with the size of the rooms and the A/C and TV. However, our first room had a lot of bugs in the bed. She was... More

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel a few days in advance for two nights. The price we paid for the room (50$/night) was quite high for the overall quality. The location of the hotel wasn't the best. After the sun went down we definitely were not comfortable with being outside in that area. It was also a minimum of... More

First of all, if you're traveling on a budget, this place has unbeatable rates. I went to Belize to explore the country and its tourist sites, not to waste my $ or time inside of a resort. If this sounds like you, this place is perfect, as it is located about an hour closer to various Mayan sites and zip-line... More

We went there to the Bachelor Inn on a one-night stop in Belize city between travelling from Caye Caulker to Placencia. We did not really feel like staying in Belize city because of comments, security issues and lack of things to do/see, but ended up booking a room in advance given our schedule would not allow us to skip it.... This is one of the strangest places I have ever stayed. The owner was friendly yet rather erratic. She let us choose our room & helped us order from the local Chinese takeaway as there are no restaurants nearby. The rooms here look very outdated & are decorated & laid out very erratically. My main concern was the lighting &... More

If youre just passing thru and need a place to crash on your way to somewhere else then maybe id suggest it. Everything was just ok. The beds werent all that confortable. Didnt expect to be sleeping with bugs. The bathroom wasnt very clean. Kitchen area didnt look like a place where food should be prepared. The tv barely worked.... More

I could accept not being a 5 star hotel, i can accept not having all the bells and whistles, i'm not there to live it just a short stay, but when your workers steal my belongings i lose all respect for you. My last visit was the worst, i would have been safer in a men homeless shelter. they stole... More

First of all, Bachelor Inn is owned/ran by a mother and her son that do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I was traveling through to the islands of Belize and stopped here for a night. The room has air conditioning and great wifi connectivity. There are all the essentials, soap, towels, iron, fans and... The innkeeper was nice, there's a corner store nearby, but there was confusion regarding how many people fit in each room, so we ended up paying for a second room. She gave us each a beer on the house when we arrived! A tour guide came by and helped us find a restaurant so we could order in. Very spacious... More

I stayed here one night on the third floor. The lady who is of Chinese (Taiwan) origin seemed to be annoyed that I checked in. She took me upstairs and showed me the room which looked more like an apartment in which someone was living. There was a kitchen and all sorts of pots and pans cluttering the place. Nonetheless...
