I spend three nights on a business trip. The hotel is a beautiful art work itself. This is the kind of places where one get the sense of belizian culture, rather than fancy franchaise hotels. Rooms are very confortable and quite. Definitevely I would come back.

We ended up staying here 3 different nights between traveling to different areas. We only had reservations for the first night but they always found a room for us when we arrived. Staff was awesome and helpful with directions and suggestions for local dinner places, Althought it was a older property, that just added to the atmosphere. It was clean... More

Arrived into Belize City unexpectedly one day early before a weeks vacation on Caye Caulker. Happy to find a hotel with a reasonable price. This very cool looking hotel has narrow, uneven walkways to the rooms on the 2nd floor. I was feeling rather ill when I arrived and the plain rice and veggie soup offered by the kind and... More

We had an overnight stay in Belize City before flying back to the states and the Chateau Carribean was perfect. Location is ideal -- walking distance from the water taxi terminal, just around the block from the National Handicrafts Market, a few blocks from the wonderful Belize Museum. The Radisson is nearby, and has an ATM. There are a few... More

Old colonial building with poor maintenance. However the rooms ( sea facing on 2nd floor) were more than adequate for a few days. The bed was comfortable and the restaurant gave fairly good meals. It is walking distance to the Belize water taxi terminal and you can leave the car if you decide to go to Caye Caulker or Ambergryce... More

The location and façade of this Hotel are great. Right on the Seawall facing the Caribbean. However, this hotel is in desperate need of TLC, paint, new carpet etc.. It clearly has seen better days. Our room was in better shape that the common areas, but musty. It's best points were: 1. price (much less than the Radisson and Great... More

Chateau Caribbean is in a cool old colonial building directly on the water. There was a great breeze going through the building. Rooms are huge and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioning isn't super, but combined with the fan in our room we were ok. We stayed on the 4th floor. Stairs are narrow and there is no lift... More

With a large clean room and a constant sea breeze we were very comfortable for two nights. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was quite good for breakfast and dinner. Wel located and scenic this is a good place to stay.

We drove into Belize City from Mexico, looking for a decent hotel for one night before we took the boat taxi to Caye Caulker. Luckily we found Chateau Caribbean listed in our Lonely Planet Guide and got a room for $100 a night. The Hotels near by are all $250-$300 USD for a night!!! We were able to leave our... More

very charming place, I like that they've kept its traditional style. good location and staff are so friendly and helpful. Spacious rooms and bed. Do check your rooms for Mosquitos before you go to bed. Loved the creaky floorboards!
