We stayed at this facility for four nights on a business trip. The room was paid for by the orginization...I hope they got a substantial discount. Where to begin? The day we arrived, May 28th, the pool was being filled///no place to sit around the pool, but it was being filled. The two days prior, the hotel had no water///NO... More

When looking through all the amenities that this hotel offered, it appeared to be the best place for my family to stay and see all the sights Belize has to offer. Once inside the hotel though, the story changes. The so called amenities are not always open. Not disclosed to us when we checked in were, the pool was closed... More

From the outside you would be deceived into thinking that this was a pretty grand hotel. In fact, its recommended in the Lonely Planet guide. The whole hotel intrigues me actually, it was a bit like a scene from 28 days later around the pool, nowone to be seen, showerheads turned off or in some cases ripped off! The rooms... More

This hotel is not terrible, the rooms are ok, the location, right on the seaside, is great. The rooms could do with a few more amenities - I had to ask for a coffee percolator and the one I got wasn't working - but overall, my problem is not with the rooms. My big BIG problem is with the disgusting... More

We booked this hotel at the last minute without check Trip Advisor (NEVER AGAIN!) because the hotel was right next to the pier we were leaving from for the next part of our journey (Turneffe Island). The hotel must have been nice once upon a time, but is now run down, dirty, and smells of mildew and smoke. DON'T BE... More

Dirty, overpriced, dangerous (armed robbery at casino day before we checked in). We could see THRU cracks in the entry door to the room; shower stank and had rusty water, after one night covered in bed bug bites. Been to Belize 8 times; never stayed in such a dump. Avoid this place at all costs!

I have just returned from spending three nights at the Princess Hotel (January 4-7, 2010) and must say it was an excellent value for the price. We were welcomed by a wonderful driver (Douglas) that safely drove us to the property with a bit of history included at no charge. As a matter of fact, we hitched a ride with... More

I know the Princess Hotel gets a hard time on here and it doesn't deserve it all - there are some good points: It is nicely located and all rooms have an amazing view over the sea; It has the country's only cinema, the bar staff were really nice, there are clubs and casinos there if that is your thing.... I have stayed at this hotel about 7 times, there is potential here, they have tried, but they have still not been able to bring the hotel up to what I would consider a decent 3-star Holiday Inn type of level. I gave them many chances, and finally just bit the bullet, and spent the extra money to stay at... More

I stayed at the Princess after a week split between Ambergris Caye and the Cayo District. It was definitely the lowlight of my wonderful trip. We had a King room on the 6th floor. The room was air conditioned, but the bathroom was not. The king bed had an old uncomfortable mattress with a ripped and dirty uncovered box spring... More
