We were greeted by the owner Richard upon arrival. It is a lovely place! The rooms are clean and tidy, very unique. You have a feeling of sleeping as close to nature without actually camping. There is a full kitchen below where we were greeted with fresh coffee, delicious homemade banana cake, freshly slice fruit and fresh eggs. We already... More

If you love nature, you will love Savanna Guest House. Conveniently located one half mile from the incredible Belize Zoo, the guesthouse is a true find. The accommodations are not fancy, but the rooms are spacious, attractive and clean. Their is a large communal kitchen where breakfast is offered daily. Guests are welcome to fresh lime juice, tea and coffee... More

We can not find much about our extended trip to Belize to fault, it was an amazingly wonderful trip! The short two days we spent at the Savanna Guest House with Richard and Carol Foster, was purely marvelous, they are both wonderful hosts, and exceedingly kind and generous with their time and knowledge of Belize, the animals and the Zoo.... When booking our first night of 6 weeks in Central America I looked for something quiet as I felt it was best to get some peace before embarking on our journey. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The accommodations were pretty and comfortable and Richard and his wife Carol were lovely. Richard not only shuttled us to... More

We visited Belize about a year ago and our visit to the Savanna Guest House was THE highlight of our visit. FAIR WARNING: The Savanna Guest House is off grid... you will not have air conditioning, swimming pools, televisions, or spas. There are bugs that will bite you and make you bleed, insect repellent with DEET is necessary. If any... More

The Guest House is located on the Savanna approx 40 min from the Airport. We had six in our party and we had the run of the house. We stayed the night before we had scheduled a VIP tour at the Zoo and it was very convenient. Richard and Carol are wonderful hosts and spent time with us and providing... More

What a great find - small and charming guest house run by natural history film makers Carol and Richard Foster. Felt privileged to stay there and to hear their stories (and to watch a couple of their acclaimed films in the well-stocked communal lounge/kitchen area). Stayed there with family after day out zip lining and cave tubing fairly close by.... More

I can't say enough positive things about the Savannah Guest House. The Fosters are spectacular hosts. There is something very unique about their location and venue; you can feel you body relax while you're there. It's the antithesis of the frenetic "Resort feel" you sometimes get at other tourist destinations. Very peaceful and relaxed. Their knowledge and advice about the... More

My gf and I spent one night at the Savanna Guest House in early May. The Fosters live in the adjacent house and manage the place with love. We were welcomed by Richard and his wife and had amazing conversations with them about their involvement in the documentary film industry. We arrived in the afternoon and had booked the zoo... More

We spent one night at Savanna Guest House, a lush oasis surrounded by beautiful pine savannas. The room was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and beautifully-furnished. My girlfriend felt like she was in a movie. We were surprised at how affordable the place was given the quality of the room. We wish we would have had more time to talk with... More
