My husband and I spent a week on Glover's in March 2014. We read (all) the TripAdvisor reviews before we left, so we had a decent idea of what to expect--we decided to trust the positive reviews, because they seemed to be from travelers like ourselves. Don't let the "resort" in the name fool you, you will basically be camping,... More

I think Glover’s Reef deserves a little more recognition than what has been rated. Maybe if Tripadvisor classified the reviewers between “adventure travelers” or “cruise & resort travelers” the rating would dramatically improve amongst a class of adventurous travelers. I think the fact they call themselves a “resort” is grossly misleading, leaving visitors short of expectations; a more accurate description... More

Tips AVOID GLOVER’S GUEST HOUSE- stay at Hopkins, etc and get a taxi in the morning. Guest house is rundown and not worth it. Also, no store in Sittee River! Buy food and water supplies elsewhere like Hopkins or Dangriga. STAFF: Casually helpful - but not exactly friendly, a bit quirky. I heard Allison is great scuba instructor and Brian... More

I stayed for the week and I loved every minute of it. The completely lack of light pollution meant stargazing was superb. The staff were amazing and so helpful. I camped with my own tent and they gave me a mattresses and pillow which made my stay super comfortable. Remember to buy some Avon Skin so soft to deter the... More

We have visited Glover's Atoll Resort five times over the past 10 years and just recently spent a week in January with 12 other friends -- a handful from the USA and all the rest live full time in Belize on another island. The waters at the Atoll are spectacular for snorkeling, diving and kayaking. The area is a marine... More

My wife and I just got back from Glovers and will go over our experience. We spent three nights in an over the river cabin prior to going to the Atoll. The cabin was basic but clean with a cold water shower and sink but suffered from some guest abuse, broken shower stall, toilet lid, etc. It did have screens... More

I am very overdue with this review, but still wanted to share my experiences. I travelled to Glover's Atoll March of 2012. I really loved it and still think about my adventures and experiences there often. If you like a resort style all inclusive vacation this is not for you. This is for the independent traveller who likes to take... More

My buddy and I have been planning a trip to Glovers for a long time. We read all the reviews and made notes. Now that we are back in the US I want to emphasize a few mistakes we made. First, we thought we could spin or fly fish from the kayaks. However, it was not very practical. In fact... More

If you go to Glovers with a camping mentality you'll have a great time. We stayed a week in an over the water cabana. The over the water cabana is definitely worth the extra cost. Be prepared for a lot of wind. I lost one shoe and one hat from inside our cabana. We cooked most of our own food,... More

There is not many places on Earth like this one! We were really lucky with the weather and the great company (only 6 guests). Its an exotic paradise, perfect for camping style lovers, who know how to enjoy being in the nature and do know that this is NOT a hotel, so you are not expecting a cleaning lady and... More
