We chose to spend a week at Isla Marisol but coming from Johannesburg presents a myriad of logistical problems. From the word go, Taryn assisted us with every aspect of our trip and made actually getting to Marisol far easier. My husband is an avid angler and we had so much help and assistance from the staff beforehand too. This... More

Isla Marisol we found to be relaxing, clean, has awesome staff, and incredibly good food. For the money, we thought it was very well done. We had some qualms after reading the negative reviews, but then realized two things: First, most complaints were about the weather or environment (rough crossings, sand flies, cold...) to which the resort has little control... Everything was very clean, the staff friendly, the food awesome. I went with the main intention of snorkeling with Whale Sharks. Although I'm a diver, I didn't intend to dive on this trip. But the staff encouraged me to dive as the opportunity/experience with whale sharks is generally better from the diver perspective. So I did a quick refresher and... More

40 miles away from shore... each mile takes you away from the noise of our every day lives and leads you to paradise! the beautiful sand, the coconuts, the relax atmosphere, the amazing dives, the great fishing, yoga early in the day, good meals..... everything we hoped for!

I want to go back right now! It has only been a week! But when you have had a taste of paradise, you want more. Over two decades of diving in the Bahamas and Caribbean, each great but none compare to Isla Marisol Dive Trip. Leading dive groups can be challenging with multiple expectations and requests. This dive trip was... More

For those looking for beauty, tranquility, great hospitality and some of the best diving in the Caribbean, look no further than Isla Marisol. We had one of the best week-long vacations ever at this miraculous offshore oasis, 40 miles from the coast of Belize. The owners have worked hard to create a super eco-friendly resort. The cabanas are spare but... More

The main reason to come here is to see the amazing reef with its diversity of corals and fish. Because this place is so remote you have to pay a high price but it is worth it. The food was very good and the cabins adequate taking into account the remoteness of the place. I was bothered by the sand... More

My family had a wonderful trip and would return again. We happily put away our electronic devices for the week, and three young children were content for the entire trip. The divemaster is one of the best I've been with in more than 30 years of diving. With 3 young children, we spent much of our time snorkeling, and the... More

Snorkelling and diving site galore all around the island and on both sides of the reef so whichever way the wind blows there is a shelterd side. Bone fishing is great right in front of the resort and all around the island. A guest even caught a huge tarpon off the dock. We went out with the staff spear fishing... More

Our family (adults and kids) had a fantastic and relaxing week at Isla Marisol. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating whether with meals or with snorkeling trips. We also tried a discovery Scuba course and Eddie is a "scuba whisperer" and helped our daughter overcome some trepidation about diving and ultimately want to get her scuba certification (next trip!)....
