We went to Caye Caulker on Apr 28 and stayed till May 5th. We were sad to leave because we were so busy that we had no chance to hang around. I think we needed another 3-4 days before we would get bored. We arrived from Canada through Texas since there are no direct flights after March break. From the international airport in Belize City we were transfered by taxi ($25US) aprox. 20 min ride to the water taxi ($15 each) which takes about 45 min to reach Caye Caulker. On the way we passed by other islands to distracted us from looking at the vast of water ahead of you. We were helped by the water taxi captain with our 3 heavy suitcases to the dock. We felt lucky that our hotel was right off the dock because there no paved walkways and pulling our lougage through the sand would be difficult.
