I've stayed in my fair share of hostels to know that Yuma's Guesthouse is a gem. I was traveling with my brother (his first experience in Central America), so it was important to me that we find a place that was 'local' in flavor, hostel-ish in experience, but not too ramshackle a place. High on my list, too, were location,... More

Location is fantastic! Next to the watertaxi. Hostel is on the shoreline, which is great too. Clean, good kitchen, very helpful owners and nice private rooms. Only thing is that there's no hot water and you need to go through the kitchen if you want to use the bathroom/shower. We paid 26 euros for a private room, which in Belize... More

The guesthouse is very well located, next to ferries main harbour. Rooms are clean but very simple.Prices are little bit high but it worth because of house location. If you need internet connection,do not accept rooms on lower floor, the signal is poor and many times you can't get to the web. The house is full of rules. All walls are... More

Dear Javier, Perspective is an odd thing. I remember you and your group very well and I’m surprised you write such a review. Your female friend came in to gather information and left. 1 hour later your group returns – making me think that you shopped around and chose us as your best fit. You were a group of 3... More

Yuma's House was so great to spend a couple of days. There is the fabulous garden with hammocks, lots of spaces to sit and relax and amazing seafront view. There are 2 fully equiped kitchens used by a lot of guests. The rooms and shared bathrooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Staff is really friendly and the host,... More

This would have to be one of our favourite hostels in Belize! We were very impressed by the cleanliness and security Yuma's offered. We spent quite a bit of time chilling in the yard taking in the view as well as lounging on the sun hammocks. Will definitely recommend Yuma's to anyone we know heading to Caye Caulker!

Stayed here on recommendation of a friend who stayed a couple of years ago. The beds were comfortable but the noise was very high. Woke every morning before eight with perople talking and walking around on the floor above us. Not sure if the upstairs rooms are a bit quieter? Having said that the staff are friendly and very informative.... More

A great place to stay, very clean and fresh. You can choose between dorms or private rooms for two, where the private rooms only cost 32 USD a night! The kitchen and bathroom facilities are great. High speed wifi available for free for the hostel area. The owner Susann, and her staff are very kind and serviceminded. The location is... More

We were a party of 5 who stayed in Yumas Hostel for the better part of a week on Caye caulker at the end of June. We had spent over a week travelling through Guatemala in a handful of locations and our stay on the island was to be our reward for doing the back packer thing for the week... More

We stayed here for four nights in October 2014. Yuma's is in a great location right on the waterfront near where the water taxi comes in. We stayed in a private room. The room was spotlessly clean, with a fan (much-needed) and mosquito nets on the windows as well as a door stopper. The mosquitos on Caye Caulker were intense,... More

I have enjoyed three 2+-week stays at Yuma's House Belize and highly recommend it. The owner, Susanne, is a lovely woman who genuinely cares about her guests' experience, on the property and off. Private rooms with double bed go for $64 Bze ($32 US); dorms (four to a room on bunk beds) cost less but I can't remember the price.... More
