I stayed in a beach front room but their restaurant across the street hid my view of the sea- don't pay extra for that accommodation because you will be disappointed. The AC worked great and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom needed work as it seemed so dated. Towels seemed really worn as well. I would return and stay in... More

We stayed for two nights at the Barefoot Caribe during April. Do ask for a room overlooking the sea if possible. Everything was clean but basic. No breakfast is served but this is not a problem as you will only have to walk a few yards to a local cafe. The hotel is about five minutes walk (say ten with... More

We walked around to lots of places before settling on this place. It was best value we found, stayed a week, got a small discount, paid 55 belize dollars a night. My only concern was the windows has a poor 'locking' solution, it was just a peice of pipe, which would fall out if u rattled the windows I reckon.... More

Just returned from Caye Caulker and loved staying at the Barefoot Caribe! The hotel is conveniently located just minutes walk from the water taxi pier. We stayed in an ocean front room with a nice large balcony that had a seating area and a hammock. There is a restaurant below but it closes at 9pm so no noise was heard... More

We stayed here for night after leaving another hotel on the island that couldn't accommodate our entire stay. This was way better value for money, had a nice sizeable room and shower worked really well. It was clean and comfortable and we wished we'd have stayed here the entire time (way better value than previous place which was only slightly... More

We checked this hotel out after booking at another hotel on the Caye and having issues at that location. The prices were less than a few other we looked at with nicer rooms. They had a third floor ocean view room available so we took it and are very glad we did. There is a business directly across the street,... More

This was a very comfortable place for us for a few days while completing our diving certification. The room had AC and hot water, lots of space and was a little back from the road so it was nice and quiet. The owner and his family were available and also informed us about the 10% off at the restaurant across... More

Nice hotel in front of the ocean, hammocks on the balcony for the right 'laid back'-feeling, close to shops, restaurants and the famous 'Lazy Lizard'- Beach & Bar. Cleaning daily, but hot, the aircondition and the ventilator did not work as they should. In front of the hotel is a restaurant where you can have local breakfast.

We had booked two deluxe sea view rooms and when we arrive there was a problem because they had double booked us. They gave us only one sea view and the other room a courtyard room at the back of the hotel with bad noise and bad smell. We checked in our stuff get ready for the beach and went... More

Not only are you a three minute walk from The Split, Barefoot Caribe also has their own restaurant (Sobre Las Olas) directly across the street from the hotel! Great local food and definitely the best hot coffee in the are; the Caribbean Quesadilla is a must have! One of the main servers Adam, is very accommodating and always there with... More
