We checked this hotel out after booking at another hotel on the Caye and having issues at that location. The prices were less than a few other we looked at with nicer rooms. They had a third floor ocean view room available so we took it and are very glad we did. There is a business directly across the street,... More

This was a very comfortable place for us for a few days while completing our diving certification. The room had AC and hot water, lots of space and was a little back from the road so it was nice and quiet. The owner and his family were available and also informed us about the 10% off at the restaurant across... More

Nice hotel in front of the ocean, hammocks on the balcony for the right 'laid back'-feeling, close to shops, restaurants and the famous 'Lazy Lizard'- Beach & Bar. Cleaning daily, but hot, the aircondition and the ventilator did not work as they should. In front of the hotel is a restaurant where you can have local breakfast.

We had booked two deluxe sea view rooms and when we arrive there was a problem because they had double booked us. They gave us only one sea view and the other room a courtyard room at the back of the hotel with bad noise and bad smell. We checked in our stuff get ready for the beach and went... More

Not only are you a three minute walk from The Split, Barefoot Caribe also has their own restaurant (Sobre Las Olas) directly across the street from the hotel! Great local food and definitely the best hot coffee in the are; the Caribbean Quesadilla is a must have! One of the main servers Adam, is very accommodating and always there with... More

Good budget hotel with AC. Great location, centrally located on main road between the water taxi and the Split. Comfortable acommadations and clean. About all you can ask for on Caye Caulker. Caye Caulker is a laid back backpackers island. If you need more than this you are on the wrong island and should head next door to Ambergris Caye.... More

Barefoot Caribe is a great locally owned hotel, something that sadly is very rare in Belize with all of the places now owned by American investors. I prefer to give back to the local community so this was the place to stay. Accommodations were very nice considering where we were. Nothing luxurious or anything but we had a porch over... More

Barefoot Caribe is very central (literally in the centre of Front St). Fatima was great to deal with, very helpful and great communication via email prior to our arrival. The hotel was very clean and our rooms were cleaned spotless everyday. We were provided towels but make sure you bring beach towels as you don't those or face cloths. I... More

We had a family friend in Belize book our room to get the "Belize rate" which is half as much as USD. The room was upstairs, which puts the 'lug' in luggage. The room appeared clean, but we noticed only 2 bath towels. Upon request, we were given 2 hand towels, but they do not have wash cloths, so we... More
