The hotel rooms themselves are fine, but the layout and service was not ok. To start we were given keys to a dirty room not once, but TWICE. I understanding mistaking a room for clean once, but twice is ridiculous. There is no excuse for that and what makes it even more upsetting is that there was no apology or... More

We arrived in caye caulker without a reservation until the next day and this was one of the only places with a room in a moderate price range. A double room was $48USD + 9% tax. For that we got a decent sized room with a big bed, fridge, private bathroom and air conditioning (thought I think we were supposed... More

What can I say? You go to Caye Caulker to slow down and relax...not sweat the small stuff. China Town is a decent place to stay. Before I got there, people in my group were already complaining about the reviews...but it was not bad at all. If you're looking for 5 star, this isn't it - but if you're looking... More

Another star property on the Tucan Mayan Circle tour. The first thing that you notice in the room is the strange chemical smell- no idea what it is. There is a huge bed which takes up the whole room with no room for anything else. Nothing on the walls. The view outside is of electric cables hanging down. One OK bath towel and... More

Please see the reveiw by Lisa as this says it all. Our shower had hot water but water was backing up into the shower when someone else was taking a shower causing an awful sewer smell with black residue all over the shower floor. Disgusting. Stayed here 3 nights with the Intrepid tour. Will have to let them know not... More

Clean, new hotel with supermarket next door and Chinese restaurant on the ground floor. Very large rooms, some roof verandas to relax and enjoy the sunrise or sunset. But my night's sleep was marred by clanging sound of a metal chair swinging in the breeze all night long. Also my room was on the 4th floor, and there is no... More

We had the unfortunate experience of staying at this hotel as part of an Intrepid Tour. When you enter the hotel you walk through a bar area which is frequented at all times of the day and night of what appears to be local vagrants. The other side of the bar is the casino area which stank of cigarette smoke.... More

PRO: 1-there is always a room available. 2-the bed was rather comfortable. 3-a large, well-stocked market is downstairs. 4-good Chinese food downstairs. 5-cable tv. 6-affordable rates 7-small kitchen area to cook your own stuff 8-pool CONS: 1-slippery tiles everywhere- even in the bedroom, the bath, the halls, etc... BE CAREFUL. 2-We asked for a room with a window for natural... More

The hotel was okay, pretty basic and seemed more like a backpackers hotel with a main shared kitchen. Caye caulker is so beautiful and with so much to offer that we didn't spend much time there anyway. There seems to be a problem with the showers and hot water which is annoying when you've spent all day out and about... More

We stayed here two nights with Tucan Tours. I warned the tour guide I had read the reviews and that I would complain if the room was unacceptable. When we arrived we were given a tiny room for two of us on the second floor over the casino (which apparently operates noisily most of the night); you could only access... More
